Description

Comedy and Crime/Gangster 1 hr. 45 min. After messing up a major drug bust in New York City, two African American FBI agents (who are also brothers), Marcus and Kevin Copeland (Shawn and Marlon Wayans), try to impress their boss by volunteering to protect the Wilton Sisters, Tiffany (Dudek) and Brittany (Ward), the heiresses of a hotel empire, from a kidnapping scheme during a short trip from JFK to the Hamptons. Deciding to change the strategy drastically, the brothers use themselves as bait, wearing lots of pale makeup and dresses to pass as the Wilton sisters, while the real sisters are hidden away, safe from harm. Now, the agents just have to convince the world (including their coworkers who are now protecting *them* and the Wiltons' friends and family) that they're actually young, rich, white heiresses.

Kris's Review

When White Chicks was first released in theaters, I vowed to never see it. I thought it looked awful and extremely unfunny, and I knew that I would absolutely hate it. My taste in movies rarely allows me to enjoy movies that are stupid funny. I hated Dude, Where’s My Car?, Dumb and Dumber, and American Pie to name a few. Therefore, I knew that this would also fall into that category. However, my vow to never see White Chicks was broken when I was able to grab a copy for free from a friend. I have to say that I wish I wouldn’t have done that. I am now missing an hour and a half of my life that I can never have back.

White Chicks is the story of two FBI agents that are the laughing stock of the agency. After screwing up an undercover operation, the two agents (Marlon and Shawn Wayans) are assigned to pickup two rich girls that have been threatened to be kidnapped. While the agents are bringing the girls to their destination, there is an accident and the agents are forced to take the identity of the girls to try to capture the kidnapper.

Everything in this movie is forced. It seems like everyone involved in the movie is trying to make sure that the audience believes what is happening. For me, this makes the movie much more unbelievable. The fact that two black men are able to fool people into thinking they are two spoiled white girls is just stupid. This seemed to be a movie full of stereotypes of a few different groups of people in society, and the black men tried to keep up the stereotype of the spoiled white girl.

I giggled once during this entire movie, and that was close to the end. The part I laughed at wasn’t even that funny, but since I hadn’t laughed for almost an hour and a half I felt that I needed to at least once during the movie. I might be biased because I don’t like most stupid funny movies like I said earlier, but I’ve talked to many people who didn’t find it very funny either. Most of the movie consists of crude humor, fart jokes for example. I like movies that make me think, not movies like this that will make me feel dumber for watching.

I imagine many teenagers will like this movie. High school teens are the target audiences for this movie, and I surely hope that most of them will grow out of liking this movie genre. I don’t want to subject myself to anymore movies of this type. I really don’t recommend this movie at all. But if you like stupid funny movies, you might like it.
