1. Crown 1/2 Gallon -
SCA $15.00.
This early machine-made crown is turning a nice shade
of sun cast amethyst. Condition is very clean with no chips or cracks and
only normal base wear. The clear lid is embossed "Made in Canada /
Crown Emblem / 18".

2.THE
GEM No Rutherford 1/2
Gallon SOLD.
This greenish aqua,
Canadian jar was made at the Hamilton Glassworks but the mold did not include the
Rutherford name - Redbook 9 #1084-8. Condition is clean with one
ring of internal haze about 1.5" from base; ground lip has normal grinding
flakes. Matching lid is embossed "Rutherford & Co / Hamilton Ont".

3. Gem Midget Pint $35.00
I hesitate to call this one "apple
green" but it is definitely the greenish side of aqua. There is some
slight inner haze to the inside bottom third of the jar. The base is
embossed "PAT NOV 26 67". The thin ground lip has some tiny
grinding flakes. The band has a 1/8 " hole but is otherwise sound and
tightens. The lid looks like a Gem lid but without patent dates.
This is Redbook 9 #1053.

4. DGCo Quart $65.00
I'm not sure of the listings in Redbook
9 for #'s 776 and 776-1. The first listing is for a plain monogram while
the second is for a ribbed monogram. This jar has a ribbed "D"
while the rest is plain. It is the large "O" variety, has a
plain base and no monogram on the lid. The colour is a medium aqua.
The ground lip has only minor grinding flakes and the jar is clean with only a
few light external scratches.

5. Lamont Glass Co ACME Mason 1858. $175.
This aqua quart is Redbook 9 #14.
I believe the price in the Redbook is low for this jar. The ground lip has
a 1/4" flake that has resulted in a 1/16" chip, a 5/8" inner lip
bruise and 1/2" area on the inner rim where a shallow bubble has
burst. These are minor imperfections for such a scarce Nova Scotia jar all
hidden by the lid but they are reflected in the price. Otherwise this jar
is very clean and looks barely used.
