The two looked good together as they walked along Sarah in her dark denim skirt and white peasant top and Jaimie in her faded blue jeans, black tank and light tan jacket. Jaimie was walking to her place with the smaller woman after a nice date. Little does Sarah know her girlfriend has a dark past with a secret that she won't believe. The women stop at the front doors of an old apartment building. Jaimie turns to her girlfriend. " The movie was nice, did you have a good time ? " She asks.
Sarah looks up at her and smiles " As if I could ever have a bad time with you. But the movie was a little gross. I mean how many bloody bodies ravaged by vampires. Can they put in one film ? " she replies.
" True, Jaimie responded after a minute of contemplation. Do you wanna come up ? " She asked returning the smile. only in the form of a mischievious grin.
Before Sarah could answer the women were jumped. By a group of three men with long distorted teeth or so it appeared. Jamie starts kicking and fighting right away knocking the first man into a nearby allyway. With little effort the next man came from behind her and punched her in the back. Jaimie winced momentarily before grabbing the man's hand's and lifting him over her back in a flip style move. Then kicking him in the face and delivering another kick to the man's stomach. Rendering him helpless. Now on his knee's dizzy and disoriented. Jaimie placed her hands on each side of the mans head and twisted breaking his neck. There was soon a pile of dust where he layed.
Jaimie grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up off the ground. " If you ever go near her again the only ! blood you'll be getting. Will come from a feeding tube ! " Jaimie threatened in a menacing growl. her emotions getting the best of her. She couldn't help it anytime somebody tried to hurt Sarah her defenses kicked right in. The man who was now clearly afraid simply nodded in understanding.
Sarah clearly weirded out and confused still shaking a bit. Usually her girlfriend's arms were enough to make her fears ease away. But not this time and that scared her more. " Ye - Yeah, I'm fine I think. Who were those guys and did you tell that guy to give his.. m-master your message ? What master ? How did you lift that guy ? '' She rambled at once.
" I'll explain everything but we need to get inside, Okay, can you walk? Sarah gave an affirming nod even though she wasn't quite sure if she could. She was going to try dammit nobody was gonna scare her to the point of being immobilized, alright then lets get upstairs. " Jaimie replied leading the dissoriented woman up the stairs.
When they entered the apartment as soon as Jaimie had shut the door and checked the windows. Sarah began her questions again and added. " Tell me what the HELL is going on because if you don't I'll find out- myself. " Getting some of her attitude back.
" What do you mean you used to be one of them ? What were you like in a gang or something ? Because I know you told me when we first started dating. You got into alot of trouble in the past. Is that it Jaimie ? " Sarah questioned now more concerned than upset. Backing herself into the wall and staying there. As if the distance would make a difference.
If Jaimie attacked her like one of the beasts. That they had just encountered. Even though part of her knew better. She couldn't seem to stop her body from reacting. She was still in shock afterall. Sarah's mind was racing trying to figure out. What exactly her girlfriend had meant by that confession.
" No nothing like that. '' Jaimie said quickly. she wanted to go over and comfort the woman. But she knew right now that probably wasn't the best thing to do. '' That would be simple, I'm afraid this is more complex a problem. You see theres no easy way to tell you this. I'm pretty sure once I do you'll either pass out. Or you'll be so scared you'll run away. " The brunette said solemly hanging her head to the floor." Well, tell me what it is first. Then see if I go running off or faint at your feet. " Sarah reacted with an unexpected chuckle. Thinking her girlfriend was joking. Still more than a little in shock. However as she noticed the serious, intense look in Jaimie's aqua blue eyes. She calmed her hysterical amusement.
" Okay here it goes." Jaimie took a starting breath in for courage. "I know those people because I was one of them. I still am in some ways. They are... vampires, I'm a vampire Sarah."
Sarah let out another nervous laugh, " Yeah, right you're a vampire !" She said a little loudly playfully shoving her girlfriend. "Okay, so how come you've never tried to drink my hearts blood or whatever. And I've seen you out in the daylight. In fact you took me to an outdoor cafe for our first date. How come you didn't melt or dissolve or something ? " Sarah enquired with trace sarcasm in her tone.
" I wasn't made the way most vampires are. I can eat food, and walk in daylight, drink wine, look at crosses. That's why they want me to join them. They want to use me to make a super race for them. Capable of walking the earth in light and enslaving humans. To use as their own live bloodbank." Jaimie explains further.
