I have finally succeeded in rebuilding this site (July 2002) as the previous page disappeared into the wastes of cyberspace, due to idiots at Geocities..... I have replaced all of the information and links that were here before.
See the AWARDS this page has received.
I decided to start with images of the Goddesses Flora and Pomona, as depicted in tapestries by William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones.

There is a special reason why I introduce this page with a William Morris design - I look after the garden at

Kelmscott House, the headquarters of the William Morris Society.
We were donated a William Morris Rose last year, specially bred for us by David Austin Roses.
We also have a fantastic crop of woad this summer! (Although in fact Morris did use indigo for most of his dyeing.)
I have also planted a bed of pennyroyal

It smells so good, and is reputed to deter ants.
I LOVE violas, and have many in the garden. I can never decide whether violas or roses are my favourite flowers.....but this is my favourite viola.

Molly Sanderson
I also love these two:

Antique Lace

Arabella

This is the wisteria in the garden of our house near Livorno, in Tuscany.
