| SEASONS IN LIFE |
| There are seasons in life that must come and go, There are flowers that die, while others will grow, As we watch life take us down a path it's unclear, The dangers and joy that are inevitably near, We rush to our future, and it happens so fast, Soon life's experiences are part of our past Unsure of the future, we must keep up our gait, Judgement is coming, we're not allowed to be late Still unsure of the journey, but clear on the end, We eventually come to life's last little bend, The twists and the turns we've encountered through time Return to our memory and play out in our mind, What really took years, seems but a few days, All those worries and cares, seem now but a haze A million actions we'd like to take back Millions of words we'd like to retract But it doesn't help, these backward glances, We had our life, and we had our chances, If we lived everyday in sight of this bend, Oh the nice words we'd say, and the fences we'd mend! But we don't see this turn, until it's too late, To pause for a moment and slow up our gait Please treasure each step, even when it gets tough, Believe me, you'll see the last bend soon enough |
