O Great and Powerful God, why have you hid thy face far from thy people?  Why?  I reason in my heart, but the answer is not there.  I ask those of great wisdom, but they know not why.  I seek those with understanding, but they too seek the truth.  Where, O Great and Powerful God, our redeemer; where may we find the answer to our quest?  Can it be found of man?  May our minds comprehend the deep things of God?  Where, O Christ, is thy face?

Long I have sought thee, in the mornings I have cried unto thee.  In the stillness of the midnight I have read the Holy script.  By the light of the sun I have seen they power and by the truth of thy law I have beheld thy righteousness.  Touch me my God, reach down thy Hand from the portals of thy throne.  Listen to the cry of thy people, give ear to the shouts of the righteous.  Yea I long to walk with thee, I desire to be clothed with thy robe.  O Great and Powerful God, the rock upon which all the seed of faith may rest.  Give grace unto our eyes.  Give peace unto our hearts.  Grant our lips the words of Christ.  Bring unto our minds the knowledge of Him.  The understanding of Good.

The wisdom of the ancient is vain, the prudence of the just is folly.  The desire of man is evil and our thoughts are far from thee.

The reason for our sorrow is sin.  The trouble that surrounds us is the wages of forgetfulness.  The sorrow of our heart is rebellion and the blindness of our eyes is deceit.  We are full of folly and our way is filled with shame.  Our hearts long for thy presence, yet our minds are sinful always.

Deliver me from the snare of the wicked; and my heart from the net of confusion.  Lift us, O Great and Powerful, and Faithful God.  Lift our sorrow and bring agin Joy.  Deliver us from the pit and show forth thy ever green pastures.  Grant our petition, give heed to our call, harken unto the voice of thy people.  Descend upon us and remain, spirit of God.  Thy light doth over take us, thy power is displayed.  The heat of thy wrath is kindled hot, and the stokes of our sin doth increase it day by day.

The glory of God is upon mount Zion, the brightness of thy seed shines upon the mountain.  Lead us unto thy rest, bring us agin into thy holy pavilion.  We are thy glory, the sun doth shine forth from our souls.  The glory of God be upon us and the Power of His coming shall melt away all the wicked from before Him.  There shall no man stand.

Here is the mystery of God.  Behold and learn a new thing.  It is of old.  Before the world was fashioned, it was known.  Before the heaven was spoken; look now it is there.  Before the knowledge of sin, Good is present.  Before the falling down, there is a rising.

Adam hath failed, but Christ hath prevailed.  Glory be to God, the Risen Lord of all.  Fashioner of all things, maker of all that is.  Behold now and learn, search and find Him.  Him that calms the storms and the winds obey His command.  Him who spoke unto dust and dust remember it’s place.  He who loves all He created and talked with it all the day.  Him, it is, that fashioned the helper, and revealed the weakness of man.  To Christ be Glory, to our redeemer be praise, let all nations bow before Him, let us know the Lord our God.

Behold and marvel, look upon Him and weep.  See now the thorns upon Him, turn away and flee.  Listen for His calling, render Him His due.  Look now upon our savior.  He calleth me and you.  Harken, harken all ye weary, tired, lame, and torn.  Behold a risen Savior, the child that beckons to be born.  His Hand hath made the womb that holds Him day and night.  His voice hath cried before Him, He hath shown us His Great Light.  Though I fall along the pathway, though my eyes grow dark and dim.  Behold I see my savior and I long to be one with Him.
