WHERE LIFE IS MINIATURE
Tiny bugs move through the grass.
Some move slow and some move fast.
Bugs like worms, ants and beetles,
Traverse across a sea of pine needles.

This is a world where life is miniature,
Creation shows a twist with each new creature.
Small aphids that actually give milk,
Worms that can spin a house made of silk.

Spiders spin webs that few can escape.
Mr. Beetle travels with his own armored cape.
The polite mantis prays when he eats.
Bugs stay on leaves with glue on their feet.

In the world of insects, the wonders are quite common;
God gave them these skills to overcome problems.
Never again will feelings of fear I reflect
Because I can see what He does for an insect.

And to quote His word, aren’t we “greater than these?”
Don’t we mean more than the ants or the bees?
So, when you despair and your faith has unfurled,
Bend on your knees and view the insect world.
