| IDENTITY CRISIS |
| In my tiny little frame, a secret lurks within, I'm not only Johnnie Do-good but also Man of Sin. I try to hid this identity, to be known only as a gem But it's hard to be a Do-good, while I'm acting more like Sin. I go to church and say my prayers, and Do-good starts to win. But I stay and gossip after service and become the Man of Sin. So I decide to volunteer my time, surely that's a Do-good thing, But I spend my weekends partying and once again Sin reigns. Jesus, our example, lived a sinless life. He did good while on this planet, didn't stir up useless strife. We are purchased by His sacrifice, His grace has made us whole. We no longer have to sin, Man of Sin has lost control! Our salvation is not by works, lest any man should boast, But my salvation will bear fruits, of the Holy Ghost. I'm tired of living this double life, and taking two last names, I'm going to be a Do-good, no more Sin in Jesus name! |
