“And having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;”  (Eph. 6:13,14)

America, for quite sometime, has been deceived (willingly I might add) by what the world has dubbed “tolerance.”  This is the view that if you condemned or reveal the acts of others as wrong or contrary to God’s law you become the one in transgression,  the “hate monger.”  They say, “Who are you to judge what is right and wrong?”  And in that they show that they do not understand God.

You see, if I tell sinners that they are wrong, I have judged them; but if I show them by the holy word of God that they are in transgression, then they are judged by the righteous judge, the only God, Jesus Christ.  The Bible says the sinner is condemned already (John 3:18) but now knows of their state and impending doom.  So we find that in the end it is not we, fleshly men, who judges; nay rather it is the Holy Word of God that shows that they are in iniquity.

Christians have become so scared to preach righteousness that we have let this country become filled with wickedness and sin.  For indeed, a country is not brought to naught because of what bad men do but it is destroyed because good men do nothing.  We have become as Athens of old, praying to whatever god might be out there, hoping that we do not offend any.  Christian have allowed this!  It is given to us to rule, yet we have allowed Satan to take charge.  Why?  For one reason . . . so we do not have to stand and proclaim holy living and righteousness.  It is a hard thing to stand and proclaim God’s law and reveal darkness.  No matter how big you are it is always easier to go with the flow then fight the current.  Yet God demands that we “come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Rev. 18:4)  We are called to be “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people” (I Pet. 2:9).  We are told that “having done all, to stand. Stand therefore” (Eph. 6:13,14); no matter how many are against us, no matter how unpopular we are.  For we are not called to be loved in this world.  We are not called to be popular.  We are not even called to be liked in this world.  We are called to be one thing and one thing only: FAITHFUL.  Faithful ministers . . . faithful teachers . . . and faithful followers of Christ.  We are to follow Jesus Christ even until the end . . . beyond Gethsemane . . . beyond the cross and into the unlimited realms of the Glory of God.  For indeed it is written, “they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” (Rev. 12:10,11)

Tolerance is a word that is found nowhere in the God’s Holy Bible (KJV 1611).  After all, this is the same God that wrote, “I am the Lord Thy God . . . Thou shalt have no other gods besides me!”  And again, “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve!”  According to modern Christianity, this is not being very tolerant.  As a matter of fact, preachers that stand before congregations and declare that “there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12) are called radicals and extremist.  They are rejected by the world of Christians and cast out from among men.  Yet, they are preaching the words of Christ, our Savior, and they are despised for it.  Indeed, what a sad state we have become!  Let us therefore heed the word of God and turn that we might be forgiven.  For “if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” II Chr. 7:14.
