|Frequently asked questions
Q.Does my pet need to be up to date on his shots for me to have Range Pet Sitters care for him?
A. YES...It is the policy of Range Pet Sitters to secure proof of immunizations prior to rendering services.
Q. How can I be sure that my pet will like having a pet sitter come to the house?
A.Range Pet Sitters will make arrangements with you to come to your home for an "introductory meeting" with you and your pet. At that time, you can be specific as to what services you would like us to perform, as well as let us know any special information about your pet, such as what his favorite treats are, and what medications your pet may be requiring. There is no charge for the introductory meeting.
Q.What if my pet becomes ill while I am away?
A. It is the policy of Range Pet Sitters to provide vet care for all animals in our care should the need arise. Range Pet Sitters does not charge for transport to the vet(in service area) but it is the owners responsibilty to pay any vet fees. BUT!!! In the unlikely event that your pet require emergency care due to an accident on the part of Range Pet Sitters staff, Range Pet Sitters will be responsible for vet fees.
Q.What if there is a delay in my return time home, and I will need to be away longer?
A. This is usually not a problem, due to the fact that we have an e-mail address, please feel free to send us an e-mail should you find that your stay may be longer, and our staff can make necessary arrangements for providing your pet with continuing care. Of course, you are always welcome to call our phone number, but we recommend that you send us an e-mail in advance when possible.

ONE ON ONE LOVING CARE OF YOUR PETS
Stress is the number one cause of physical problems, and death with cats and dogs in kennels. Stress is brought on by removing your pet from his home, familiar surroundings, and familiar smells. Stress is most prevelant in older pets, but can also cause major problems with young dogs and cats. As a pet professional, I have seen stress cause dibilitating symptoms in animals that are in kennels, and I can't help but believe that such problems could have been avoided should the pet stayed at home. I have seen things that I would never want my pet to go through! Often kennel operators are aware of such problems, but choose to ignore it and do nothing. Worse yet, some kennel operators never disclose the fact that an owners pet is having problems. I find this appauling! That is why I chose pet sitting. I would never want my pet to be treated, or handled in a manner that I've seen some kennel operators do.
