Patches n Piece
makers is a Quilt group that was formed in 1996 to provide a Group of Christian women who
love to quilt a place to gather once a week. When the first five women to come were all
new quilters. the focus changed to a teaching format. At first we learned something new at
each meeting, and as time went on, we changed to a once a moth class with the rest of the
Tuesday's for working on what was taught. Now days we have class on the first Tuesday of
each month. You can work on the class project or your own work. We also have secret
sisters and exchange gifts at our monthly meeting.
Part of our women's ministries is to do a service project each each year. We have made and sent Quilts to Bosnia, hat caps for local
cancer patients, "goodie bags" that our short term
missions take to Guatemala and Japan, and this year we had one of our own
organize and make fleece liners for sleeping bags for our solders in Iraq.
