| A HEART LIKE JESUS Why love, you ask? It doesn’t last. I know you are saying to yourself, my mother/father's love didn’t last, they gave me away. Or my friends love didn’t last they abandoned me for others. My husbands love didn’t last, he divorced me. My love didn’t last, I killed my baby, or I gave her away. I haven’t loved nor have others loved me with unfailing Love. No,my friend, we are all guilty of a “failing love” except for One. Rom 9:25 “I’ll call nobodies and make them somebodies; I’ll call the unloved and make them beloved” (MSG) “And her who was not beloved, beloved.”Hosea 2:23 Jesus loves me/you when nobody else does or will. No matter what! He won’t abandon you, divorce you, ignore you. So, no matter what you have done, God calls you to be His beloved. Jesus loved so much He gave His life for you, for me. That kind of Love never ends. That kind of love forgives and forgets our sins, our failures, our weaknesses. Exodus 34:6 He passed in front of Moses and said, "I am the Lord, I am the Lord, the merciful and gracious God. I am slow to anger and rich in unfailing love and faithfulness. I show this unfailing love to many thousands by forgiving every kind of sin and rebellion.” That kind of Love is interceding even now for you before His Father. That kind of Love comes to live within us to strengthen us to love more like Him. That kind of Love is preparing a place for you with Him for Eternity where we shall be changed to love like Him. He promises Jeremiah 31:3 “Long ago the Lord said to Israel: "I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.“ We can have a “heart like Jesus” because He gives us His Spirit to live within us. He produces the “fruit” of Love. Love is the greatest gift we can receive or give. This Valentines Day receive and rejoice in Jesus love for you. Then, pass on what He gives you to others. Open your heart to His love. His heart is open to love you and to receive your love for Him. That’s the greatest Valentine gift you can receive, or give to another—giving your heart, your complete love to JESUS. He will enable you to love others through His Spirit living in you. 1 John 4:11,12 “Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love has been brought to full expression through us.” If you want to give the greatest gift of Love that you can on this earth to another, give them the message of JESUS LOVE FOR THEM. That gift of Love will be EVERLASTING. Psalm 36:7 “How precious is Your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings.” Want to live in Jesus love, joy, peace and have A HEART LIKE JESUS? Try this for the next 30 mornings. Read and pray, personalizing Ps 90:14 “Satisfy me(your name) in the morning with Your unfailing love, that I may sing for joy and be glad all my days” Think on Jesus intense, faithful, compassionate love for you. Search out and study scriptures showing God’s love thru Jesus for you. Ponder, meditate on and thank Him for His boundless love and see if your days are not filled with greater joy, peace and love. Let the unfailing, steadfast love of Jesus be your anchor for every storm, every difficulty and trial sustaining, keeping, upholding you . Throughout each day walk in His Love and you will find it will satisfy the deepest longings of your heart. Jesus will never leave nor forsake you. He will never let you down! He is always there for you, loving you thru every step you take. (Heb 13:5) Don’t hesitate, no matter what your life has been He is there for you.. Ask for His LOVE right now. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.
