His Banner Over Me is Love
                      VICTORY IN  LOVE!
In  life we all have battles to fight, but we don’t need to fight them alone.  Sometimes we need only to be still and let the Lord fight for us. He is  Jehovah Nissi, “The Lord Our Banner.”   Exodus 17:15
Banners were taken into battle back then, just like banners and flags are taken into battles today.  They rallied the army and directed the troops.  And so here Moses is saying, “Lord you are my banner.  By prayer, you went before us into battle, you rallied and directed the army and you gave us the victory.
Where are you doing battle right now?  Are you battling a temptation, a lust, or
an addiction you just can’t beat? Are you battling lonliness or despair, or financial worries?  Are you being seduced by the world and finding your love for God fading? Or do you feel that nobody loves you, not even God? Are you plagued by a spirit of fear or guilt that just won’t go away?  Is your marriage or your family under attack?  Do you sense the enemy opposing you at work or in your neighborhood?  Or are you just plain worn out by the battle, tired, depressed, restless?  We are all caught in the crossfire of an ongoing spiritual conflict between the kingdom of light and kingdom of darkness . How do we gain Victory?

Does Love make you feel like you could conquer the world? When you feel loved, don’t you feel strong, confident and secure? In this day of “unisex” one wonders where the chauvinism has gone. A lady used to feel protected in the presence of her mate. In the original plan God made the man to be protective of his mate, as an
example of God’s protective LOVE over us all. However, man in his human weakness cannot protect himself or others from the powerful forces of evil like Our Mighty God can and will. Ephes. 6:12 “For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.” Ephes. 6:10 “A final word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power.”

We all need to look to a protective source higher than human resources which will fail. Our Creator is the One Who is sufficient and all powerful and He alone can protect us and give us strength and
VICTORY! 1 Cor. 15:57 “How we thank God, who gives us victory over sin and death through Jesus Christ our Lord!” 2 Cor. 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.”

If we follow the scriptural models we can hold high the
Lord’s banner of Victory over us(and those we love) in any situation or circumstance and He will prevail. If we look to His presence, power, protection,  and provision God will give us the VICTORY. He is a loving God and He wants us to triumph to be victorious and most of all to be loved.  In love is Victory!
Song 2:4 “ He brought me to the banqueting house, and
His banner over me was love.”
Psalm 20:5   May we shout for joy when we hear of your
victory, flying banners to honor our God.  May the Lord answer all your prayers.” God's setting up or giving a banner imports His presence, power, protection, provision and aid extended to His people.
Psalm 16:8 “I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my
right hand, I will not be shaken.” God's right hand in scripture is His Victorious Hand.
