Welcome to the electronic Bible Student! This sites major purpose is to aid those who want to learn "What must I do to be saved?" The "Great Commission" given above by the Lord is to be the major focus of the church of Christ. As a Christian, I feel that we must try to help anyone who wishes to learn the Gospel. This site is my attempt to reach out to those who want to learn without the pressure of having others present who are trying to influence them. This will allow you to study at your own pace and carefully analyse the true meaning of the Bible. Where to start? I suggest the "First Principle's" course as a good place as it helps to get a basic understanding of all the important things to know about God and His plan for us. Using some of the other resources will also aid you as you progress along in your personal study. There are also many articles etc, for those who are already members of the Church. I have also provided links to other sites that can aid you, and resources here as well to GUIDE you as you study from the Bible, the Inspired Word of God. Bible knowledge is important for all of us, and you don't need anything beyond a desire to learn...enjoy!!!
Instructions(or click Help below) 1.Simply type in a word from the verse you are looking for, press "Find", and wait for new page to give results! 2.Clicking on that word (highlighted in blue) takes you to a page showing: A. The Strongs Reference Number*. B. The definition, pronunciation, and various ways it is translated. C. Other original words that are closely related to it. D. The total count that particular word is used. E. Right column showing where else it is used.
HINT: The word you search for may show up in blue, but not be in the Strongs Lexicon*(click on it to see). This means it is either not original (like italicized words in printed Bible's), or part of a group of words necessary to transfer the intended meaningof the original...example: search for "inspiration". Two results should come up. If you examine the one for 2Timothy 3:16, you have to click on God to find the source for the use of "inspiration" in the text. The phrase "inspiration of God" is the translation of the word theopneustos, which takes more than one word to translate ("God breathed" being also a good translation).
Learn to use this to "double check" the translator's of your favorite Bible Version! (Download e-Sword! It allows you to do similar searches off-line...very valuable!!!) This is a search for the King James Version with Strongs Numbers. (*this is not the actual Strongs Lexicon, but a combination of Thayers and Smiths etc.)

Alternately, I suggest you try to find a church of Christ in your area and arrange a study with them. This is a link to a site for finding locations of non-institutional churches of Christ around the world.
While I believe the churches of Christ are the Church of the New Testament I also believe that many of them are spiritually unsound. I therefore recommend that one study carefully with the Evangelist's and or Elder's of the local congregation thouroughly before judging them sound or not.
