the Internet instead of talking to the top scientists
in the field about this discovery?

Einstein's Theory, Newton's Theory, Darwin's Theory, Schrodinger's
Theory, Dirac's Theory, Watson & Crick's Theory, Maxwell's Theory,
and most of the major theories in Science were solutions to well
known problems that virtually everyone was looking for and expected
to be solved at any minute and there was a huge pool of experts
ready
and waiting to evaluate any proposed solution. And instant
recognition
and world fame immediately followed.
On the other hand, every once in awhile a theory emerges
that no
one ever suspected existed and nobody is prepared to evaluate ...
the discoverer is the only expert in the field. MENDEL'S law
of
genetics is an example. He sent it to every expert in Biology
at
the time and none of them believed it and thought he was a kook
and a crank. 40 years after he died some German scientists
rediscovered
it, found his 40 year old paper, and named it after him. Now
the
theory, and Gregor Mendel, are world famous.
Same is true of a "scientific proof of God".
Nobody (competent)
believes there is such a thing, nobody is working on it, nobody
has
any idea how such a thing could exist, and there are no experts
in
the field (Psychometry-Relativity-Theology). I'm the only
expert
in all 3 of these fields at once. There is no one to tell
it to
who is competent to evaluate it... just like Mendel's theory.
Hopefully, what with the modern advances in science, it won't take
40
years to recognize it. Maybe disasters like Osama Bin Laden
are
going to accelerate the importance of the "God" issue on the world
stage and someone will recognize after awhile that this thing is
crucial to world security among other things.
Perhaps... there is one man in the entire world besides myself who
just might be available to comment on it.. namely,
he is a PhD physicist, expert in General Relativity and Theology
(in fact
he's the only ordained (Anglican) priest who is a member of the
Royal Society of
England). On the other hand.. who knows, he may have idiosyncrasies
of his
own, and like Frank Tipler may believe in this pseudo intellectual
rubbish
about God being a cosmic calculating machine based on chaos theory...
blah, blah, blah. If there were a dozen John Polkinghorne's
maybe there
would be some hope of a "reliable opinion" from the higher ups,
but unfortunately there simply aren't. Sir John for instance
is not an
expert in Psychometry... we would simply have to hope that a recognized
genius such as him in Particle physics and Relativity would be able
to
master something as elementary as Psychometry linear algebra eigenvector
theory in a couple of days.
But, people like Sir John are simply not on tap.
What with being former
President of Queen's College London, Knighted by the Queen of England,
member of the Royal Society, publishing more books than Mark Twain,
you couldn't get his attention if you turned water into wine in
front of the
whole Royal Society.
Now, ultimately of course, Science is capable of evaluating
this discovery.
The Pontifical
Academy of Sciences for instance has more than 80 world
famous scientists, many physicists, and dozens of them Nobel laureates.
Certainly, if they were asked to review the matter, we could believe
that a
reasonably reliable assessment would be forthcoming. However,
it would probably
take a referral from the highest Vatican authorities to effect such
a thing.
Certainly it is hopeless to send the Pope a letter about it.
Only the demands of
thousands of people could possibly get their attention.
At the present time, my website is receiving 500 visitors
a day (May 25, 2002),
and 260,000 people have visited it in the past 30 months.
I am working on a book,
but believe it or not, my hope is that the scientific proof of God
will in fact be
one of the first miraculous phenomenons of the Internet age.
Perhaps when
25,000 people a day are visiting my website, we will at last obtain
the attention
of the first ranks of the scientific community and the Church.
