| Title: Fuel Author: Priscilla Chapter 11 "Shit" Brian cursed when he finished reading the note. "Shit is right, but we can't sit here with our thumbs up our asses. We have to figure out what the hell we're gonna do." Dominic said trying to be the voice of reason. Leon stopped his pacing and turned to give him an amused look. "Dom this psycho fuck's got our girls and you want to sit here and think about it?" Dom fixed Leon with a steady glare. He understood that they were all tired and needed some sleep, but that still didn't mean he had to like where this was going. Dom got up off the couch and walked up to Leon. "I don't want to just talk about it. I want to come up with a plan so we can get in, get the girls, and get the fuck out of there." Leon sighed rubbed at his temples. "You don't understand what kind of danger they are in Dom. If he doesn't get what he wants from Evelyn or any of them for that matter, their dead." Dominic nodded his understanding and walked back over to the other guys to start coming up with ideas. ***************** Evelyn came awake with a jolt. Her heart was pounding so hard she could feel its pulse in her head. The sun was setting slightly, she could see the orange stained sky from the tiny window in the room. She looked around what should have been a closet instead of a "room" and found that aside from an old mattress on the floor, she was alone. Where were the girls? She would never forgive herself if something happened to them. Suddenly she heard shuffling noises, no steps, coming down the hall. They stopped in front of her door and then the jangling of keys could be heard. The door opened slightly and Evie held her breath. Tony walked into the room with a small smirk on his face. She must of looked like a retard; hair a mess, her clothes were ripped and she was covered in dirt. Tony walked further into the room and lifted his hands in a surrender position. "Your husband told me to come get ya'. I don't want no trouble, just doin' my job." He said as he approached her slowly. Tony kneeled down next to her and started to unlock the handcuffs that held her hands together. Evelyn thought about hitting him, fighting for her life, and then thought better of it. Tony is 6'1, weighs 253 pounds, zero percent body fat, and he used to be a black belt. Besides all that, he could snap her neck in seconds. What the hell was she going to do? Talk to him you idiot! Her mind screamed so that's what she did. "Tony why are you doing this? Frank treats you like shit and all I've ever done is cover your ass. This is the way you repay me?" Evelyn said, her hazel eyes searching his for some kind of remorse. Tony looked at her face and then at the ground for a minute, as if figuring out what to say. He sighed and looked back at her. "Listen, I- I don't got a choice. A guy like me has everything to loose and people like your husband become powerful by exploiting that." Evelyn shook her head in confusion. "What do you mean Tony? What's Frank got on you?" Evelyn asked. "He's got my little girl. The doctor's say it's bone marrow cancer. She needs a transplant or she's dead. You think I'm this loyal to him cuz I like him? If it were up to me you're husband would of been dead a long time ago, but he offered me a deal. After I take care of this job for him, he's gonna give me money to pay off the transplant." Evelyn was shocked even though she knew she shouldn't be. What the hell did she expect? For Frank to be good to the people that worked for him? He'd locked her in a closet after beating the shit out of her for God's sake. Tony snapped out of his thoughts and stood up pulling Evie up with him. "C'mon boss lady. You got a date with the devil." ******************** Evelyn looked around the apparently deserted mansion as Tony led her down the hall. She never knew of this place. Just one more thing he'd kept from her. Evelyn's nails absently scratched at her arm. She looked down to the tender flesh on the inside of her elbow. Her eyes grew wide, a tiny red puncture wound met her unbelieving gaze. She'd been drugged. Evelyn was about to say something to Tony when he stopped and knocked on a door. "Boss, I got your wife." "C'mon in then." Tony pushed Evelyn through the door and into an exact replica of Frank's office in New York. He was sitting in a leather executive's chair, his feet up on the oak wood desk. His black hair was combed back, blue eyes sparkling with mischief. If she'd been the same person she'd been before coming Puerto Velarte, she would of loved him then. But she wasn't and she didn't. Frank got up and walked over to his window overlooking the yard. "Have a seat Evelyn." He said not bothering to look at her. Tony helped her walk over and sit down. Frank made a gesture for Tony to leave and then walked back to his desk to sit on it's edge. "You never cease to amaze me you know that?" Frank said with a smile. Evelyn snorted through her nose in disgust. "Get to the fucking point Frank. What the fuck do you want?" Frank's eyebrows raised in mock surprise and his smile got wider. "I want the money I lost on those races in L.A. I want to pay off Johnny Tran's fucking family so they'll leave my business alone. What I want Evelyn, is to stomp on your Dominic Torreto and his 'team' until there's nothing left but a bloody puddle. "I'm not telling you shit and neither are the girls so you should just give up and let us go!" Evelyn yelled. Her blood was boiling. She hated being this weak in his presence, knowing that he has all the power. "I know." Frank said spitting out the toothpick in his mouth, "I've already asked." Evelyn quieted at his words. Her blood froze in her veins as she saw the recognition of her fear in his eyes. "Wha- what do you mean?" Frank laughed out loud and ran his fingers through his hair. "Tony! Bring in the other guests!" He yelled. A couple of minutes later Tony walked in with Letty over one shoulder and Mia over the other. He dropped them unceremoniously on the floor. Evelyn held back the gasp that threatened to rip from her throat. Both women were unconscious, their faces bloody and puffy from swelling. Letty's top was ripped, the inside of her thighs coated with thin stripes of red. Evie shot up from her seat and dropped to her knees next to her friends. "Oh my God, what did you do to them? Did you rape them?!" "Hell no. I let the boys have a little fun is all, but the rest was me." He said rather amusedly. Evelyn got off the floor on unsteady legs and walked up to Frank, their faces inches apart. "I'll make sure you pay for this Frank. You'll die screaming mother fucker." Now it was Frank who snorted and then laughed out loud. "Please, you're not doing shit. Besides, who's going to believe my neurotic heroin addict wife anyway? Let's see just how much your precious Leon trusts you." Title: FUEL Author: Priscilla Chapter 12 "What the hell are you talking about? I'm not on drugs." Evelyn was for once intrigued with her husband's response. Frank was delighted. For probably the first time in his life he felt like he had the upper hands on his enemies and on his wife. "What did you think was in those syringes? Anastelgic? Well, that assumption would be correct, it would just be a different kind of anastelgic." Frank replied, a triumphant smirk still evident of his face. Evelyn tried to fight the tears, but they came anyway. "I hate you more than I ever thought humanly possible. I'll make sure you die screaming mother fucker." She said angrily wiping the tears away. Frank snorted through his nose and looked down at the gold watch on his wrist. 3:45 p.m. Almost show time. "Tony!" Frank yelled into the hall. A couple of minutes later his right-hand man was outside the door waiting for his orders. Frank shoved Evelyn at Tony and wiped his hands clean with a cotton handkerchief from his back pocket. "Please take my....wife to be cleaned up. Take about four guys from the mines and get ready. Not one thing is to be out of place, I want this to go smoothly." ********************** Ten minutes. That was all the time it would take to get to Pueblo Mayaguen. It was a busy little merchant town just outside of Puerto Velarza full of small stores and market places, people buzzing around. Which is why the back of everyone's hair (all except Dom, of course) was standing on end. The streets were completely empty, giving the place the look of an abandoned ghost town. Dom eased the car to a slow crawl and each man surveyed his surroundings. It was like they all knew what was supposed to happen in a couple of minutes and decided to stay away from that place. Frank had more power here than in the States it seemed. Dom stopped the car and let a small sigh escape his lips. Something was off. He turned around somewhat in his seat and looked at the others. "You guys ready to do this?" He asked. Yeah, they were all as ready as they would ever be. They would never admit it, but they were all scared shitless. After all, what's the best way to get to your seemingly un-attainable enemies? Get his woman. The wife or the girlfriend; either way, you have the guy by the balls. Leon's heart was racing. It was so stupid of them to just leave the girls home with no protection. They should have seen this coming. He should have seen this coming. When was the last time he thought he was in love with someone and something happens to screw it up? It was pitiful. But he would not lose Evelyn, she was going to come back to him, even if he lost himself in the process. The crunch of gravel and dirt straining under car tires snapped all of them out of their thoughts. A black van led by a Silver Mercedes Benz with tinted windows, was slowly making its way towards them. It stopped about 30 yards away. Dom and the others tensed, their guns held firmly in their grasps. When about 4 large men emerged from the car followed by Frank himself, a collective sigh could be heard throughout the car but the tension never left. Everyone felt it, as if something wasn't right. As if this whole thing had been too easy. Dom was first to emerge from the car followed by the others. "Where are the girls?" Dom asked. His baritone voice sounding much harsher than he'd meant it to. The last thing they could afford to do right now was piss Frank off. There was no way they could take out his guys before the girls were harmed. Shit. "Patience is a virtue Dominic. Besides, we haven't discussed negotiations yet." Frank replied. His eyes held a flat quality. Like a shark's, empty and cold. Dominic nodded his head in agreement. "What do you want?" He asked flatly. "I lost a lot of money in L.A. because of you. Seems that Johnny Tran wasn't as good as he or the rest of his family thought he was." A slow chuckle erupted from Dom. "If you were too stupid to figure out Tran didn't know shit about racing, that's all on you Frankie boy. It ain't got shit to do with me or my team." "Is that right? Too bad I don't see it that way. See, business in New York is not doing as well as I told you. So I've really got no money to pay off my debt to the Tran's. That's where you come in." "Let me get this straight, you want me to dig you out of a fucking hole you dug yourself? Forget it." Dom said shaking his head. "You don't have a choice Dominic. I've got your women." Frank pointed out politely, not even half phased by Dominic's unwillingness to cooperate. Dominic cursed under his breath. God damn it. "All right." "What the fuck are you doing Dom?! We don't got dip shit to pay with." Jesse spoke up for the second time that day. It seemed he only talked now when either he was bothered by something or extremely happy. "Look the fuck around, we ain't got a choice Jess. Unless you want Letty, Mia, and Evie back in body bags." Dominic turned back to Frank who was now smiling broadly. "I need 45, 000 dollars in cash. You have two weeks." Frank said. Dominic once again nodded his head. "What about the girls?" He asked. Frank motioned with his head to two of the men behind him. They went back into the van and brought out two women. Vince and Brian walked halfway to the men and got the girls. Leon saw that it was only Letty and Mia. What the fuck? He pushed Dominic out of his way. Dominic and Vince caught a firm hold on him before he did something crazy. "Where the fuck is she Frank? Where the fuck is Evelyn? If you hurt her you son of a bitch I-" Leon stopped short when Frank reached into the passenger's side of the car and pulled Evelyn out. She was perfectly clean, wearing a slip on dress with spaghetti straps that came to her knees with slits on both sides, high heels and her hair was up in a clip. Her lips painted a blood red. She looked breathtakingly beautiful. Leon felt like he'd been kicked in the guts. He seemed to wither in the arms of his friends as he watched Frank take hold of her hand. "Smile, or I'll break you face." Frank whispered into Evelyn's ear. To anyone watching, he'd bent down to kiss her. "My wife Evelyn is right here with me. Like she has been this whole time you stupid fuck." Frank replied mockingly to Leon. Evelyn wanted to do nothing more than die. If she didn't do what Frank wanted he would of killed Letty and Mia and she couldn't let them get hurt. But the look Leon was giving her was so heart wrenching. Like she'd gone over there and slapped him in the face. "You have your women Torreto, and you have a two weeks to get my money." Frank said before shoving Evie back into the passenger's side of the Benz and driving off. |
