Chapter 7
Dom stood leaning against the large wooden mantle, his head down.
"Fuck. Oh...fuck." He wanted to break something. Damn Spilner/O'Conner and damn him for insisting on doing the last job with the team a man short. He hadn't been paid enough to risk the lives of everyone he loved and yet he had done it anyway. Oh Christ, they could have let Letty taken the fall for everything. She could be locked away in some hole right now! His beautiful, sweet, bitchy little Letty.
The phone rang. Leon answered it. Only 5 people knew the number and 3 of them were in the same room. If could only be Mia or Letty...
"Hello?"
"Letty's with me. We're about 5 hours out. Tell Dom we'll see him soon." The phone went dead.
Dom watched Leon's relieved _expression and the tension flowed out of him.
"Well?" Dom's voice was still anxious.
Leon smiled. "5 more hours. The girls will be here in 5 hours!"
"The girls? BOTH of them?"
"Yes! BOTH of them!" Leon laughed.
"Thank God!"

Chapter 8
Dom spent the next 3 hours making V. and Leon clean shit up. Letty was coming and there was no way in hell he would let her walk into a fucked up messy house. His new obsession with neatness was sure to impress her. He had everything ready except...Shit! He needed flowers. It was the only girlie indulgence he ever gave her. She certainly deserved them now. He looked at his watch. He had 2 hours. Plenty of time to drive into down and get Letty the most beautiful damn flowers he could find.
They arrived 20 minutes after Dom left. Letty had wanted to drive straight through and not stop again so they made really good time. Mia entered the house first. Leon picked her up and swung her around not noticing the blonde following. Vince stood up and reared back ready to throw a knockout punch with his good arm. Mia pulled away from Leon and moved to stand between Bryan and V.
"You can't hit him, V." Mia said firmly.
"The fuck I cant!" Vince charged and stopped cold when Mia held up her hand. The ring caught the light. "Oh shit, Mia..."
Mia and Bryan entered further into the living room and Letty appeared in the doorway behind them. Leon dropped his Corona and it shattered on the tile kitchen floor. Vince's jaw dropped as he watched Letty walk in. Mia stood protectively by her friend, She knew Letty was tired and eager to get it over with.
Vince gasped, "Does Dom know?"
At that time Dom walked in. His attention on Letty's back. He noticed her rounded ass in the black capri pants and the tight little tank top that hugged her back. He imagined slipping the little straps off her shoulders before a strange feeling hit him square in the gut. Something was wrong. His brain hardly registered Mia and Bryan's presence.
"Does Dom know what?" He growled.
Letty turned to face him.
Two-dozen bright pink roses costing $89.99 U.S. American dollars dropped to the floor at Dom's feet.
