Chapter 19
Letty, Dom, Vince and Leon left Mexico two days later. Bryan and Mia stayed on at the hacienda for another week honeymooning before returning home.
When they arrived they found the rest of the team in the garage. They were back in business.
Dom and Letty got married the day Dom had to testify. They said their I Do's before the Justice of the Peace. Dom slipped his grandmother's ring onto her finger, kissed her square on the mouth and left her with Bryan and Mia. He rushed to the courtroom where he was expected. The sooner he got it over with, the sooner he could get back to his wife. His heart skipped a beat. God, he loved that word_wife.
Dom was finishing his testimony when Bryan slipped into the courtroom. He sat behind the prosecutor and passed the man a folded piece of paper.
"No further questions, Mr. Toretto. Thank you."
"Your honor, I move that the witness be released immediately due to a family medical emergency."
Dom's head whipped up. He looked from Bryan to the judge.
"What family medical emergency?" The judge asked.
"Your honor, Mr. Toretto's wife has gone into labor."
Dom didn't wait to be dismissed. He flew off the witness stand in a blur.
Epilogue
Dom and Bryan made it to the hospital in record time, running every red light and stop sign and breaking every speed law known to man.
Dom and Letty's son was born exactly one hour after his father left the witness stand.
Dom entered the maternity ward lounge where the team sat waiting anxiously. All eyes were on him.
"7 lbs. 4 oz.! It's a BOY!!" Dom sat down next to Leon after quickly embracing his sister. He was shaking like a leaf. He had never in his life experienced anything that compared to watching Letty give birth to his child.
"Letty and the baby are both fine. She called me every name in the book and made up a few of her own. She threatened to rip my dick off if I ever touch her again but she's fine!"
Dom passed out cigars and laughed as Leon and Vince joked about being "uncles". He couldn't wait to get back to Letty and the baby and started to leave the lounge.
"Wait Dom! What's his name?" Mia stopped him before he got out of range. Dom turned around and flashed them all a big "Proud Papi" smile.
"Jesse. His Name is Jesse."
