If 2008 was the year of big changes, then 2009 is the year of catching up and pushing forward.
I've finally joined the Facebook world. Please come find me and hit me up for a friend request. I'd love to see you there. And if you don't have a Facebook account yet -- set one up! It's super easy and fun. I'm addicted already. :)
Also, you may have noticed that the title of my blog has changed (as shown in the menu above). That's because it's an entirely new blog. Come check it out.
I've been tackling 2009 head-on. So far, I've submitted two short stories and am working on a third, in addition to setting up the Facebook account and new blog. I've been neglecting the promotional end of this writing business for far too long. Every time I sit in my marketing class I feel a tiny bit guilty. That's going to stop this year -- hence the catching up and pushing forward.
So please, endulge me.
And in the meantime, I've got something for you here in the next few weeks. Keep an eye out.

2008 was the year of big changes.
I switched genres in writing -- got tired of the mystery thing, though the Angie and Lauren stories will always be close to my heart since they were the stories that launched my writing career. For now, I've decided to work strictly in the romance and erotica genres, writing from the heart. The first result of that latest ambition was my new novel, Let It Shine, which was released November 17th. Dabbling in lesbian erotica resulted in the short story, Room With A View, published in the Ultimate Lesbian Erotica Stories 2009 anthology, now available in most major bookstores.
As many of you know, I also went back to school. I'm studying International Business/German, which takes up most of my time. I couldn't have picked a better year to study business and economics. What a fascinating -- if terrible -- year to be delving into those subjects.
I have some projects in the works. I can't make any promises as to when they'll be uploaded. I'm currently taking a much-needed break from anything too terribly serious so I can be pumped and ready for the spring semester.
At any rate, I'll be submitting more short story entries for anthologies. I won't be able to post them on my site as the publishers frown on that (guess it takes away from sales, eh?). Eventually, though, I'll make sure to put up a little something here and there as time permits.
Thanks for sticking around. Your support means the world to me. Feel free to drop me a line or two any time at kimberlylafontaine@yahoo.com.
