| To put things in the simplest terms, I am a witch, a practitioner of the Old Religion. Now, give me a moment to explain. I do not, nor does anyone I associate with, do business with, or consider a friend or family, commit any type of crime against others. We do not do ritual sacrifices, we do not kill babies, we are not devil worshippers. Most Pagans I know don't even believe in the existance of the Devil. That was a concept that was created by members of non-pagan religions. I believe in life, I worship Nature, I see the beauty that is all around me , every day. I believe that all life is composed of the five Elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit, and that me all have the ability to harness our personal power that we all have within us. Now, by saying that I do not believe in the devil(or Satan), I am not saying I do not believe in evil. I do believe that there is evil in this world, but I do not believe that an entity can "make" someone commit an evil deed. All people have within them the capacity to do good or evil, and so we must all take responsibility for our actions. |

| That is a part of free will. We all have the capability of either being a productive part of society, or being the dregs of society. It is what we choose to do with what we are given, how we use our talents , how we choose to live our lives, that determines whether we are good or evil, not someone or something we choose to worship. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I teach my children about diversity, acceptance, and the joy of knowing that everyone is different. Even my children are not the same. My three oldest were all baptized, the older two Catholic, the 5 year old Lutheran. The baby went through a presentation to the Goddess and God, and to the Guardians of the elements, asking for blessings, because that was what we felt was appropriate for him. My oldest son is interested in learning about different Pagan religions. My daughter has not shown a preference yet, but she celebrates ritual days with me, and also attends church when she feels like it with friends of hers. My five year old attends church and Sunday School. I will never require my children to accept my beliefs. They are being allowed to explore different religious beliefs, to learn the truth about the various religions, and to make an informed decision when they get older about what they believe, and make their choice that way. Just as I would not allow my children to make fun of someone's skin color, disability, culture, or sexual orientation, I will not allow them to make fun of anyone's religion either. I want my kids to grow up to love people irregardless of those things, and to look at the heart and soul of a person to determine what they are like. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
