| West Memphis, Arkansas May, 1993 In May of 1993, three young boys were found murdered at Robin Hood Hills, in West Memphis, AR. The police arrested three other young boys for the crime. Jessie Misskelley, then 17, was tried separate from the other two boys, Damian Echols, 18, and Jason Baldwin, 16. The boys were found guilty of having committed the crime. Jessie was sentenced to Life plus 40 years. Jason received a sentence of Life without parole. Damian Echols, made out to be the "leader" of the alleged cult, was sentenced to death. There are a lot of facts about this case that never came out at trial, a lot of potential witnesses that either were not called to testify, or the information they gave was not checked into at all. These three boys were accused and convicted of a heinous crime, and due to shoddy police work, and a phenominon known as "Satanic Panic", one has a death sentence hanging over his head, and the other two will never walk free again.
