Both of these programs assist less fortunate families
in the Towns of Ancram and Copake, New York

Thanksgiving Adopt-A-Family Program provides the selected families with a complete Thanksgiving dinner.....plus some extra food!

Christmas Adopt-A-Family Program provides the selected families with a
complete Christmas dinner.....plus some extra food!
ALSO!!
Santa, Mrs. Clause and an Elf
actually visit the children of the families in the Christmas Adopt-A-Family
on Christmas Eve with an overflowing sack of presents
such as: winter coats, hats, gloves, boots, clothes
and most importantly.....toys!

These programs are organized by Copake VFW Post 7955
but highly supported by residents and businesses in the
Towns of Ancram and Copake, NY
and in the past recent past years - some residents and businesses
outside the borders of the towns listed above!

each child takes the "Oath Of An Elf" it goes like this:
"I promise to help SANTA, unpack his sack, under our tree!"
After taking the "Oath of an Elf" each child receives a bean bag animal from Santa!
