The Truth About God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit

Most people who think that they are Christians, also think that they believe Jesus is the Son of God: But listen how they word their understanding of how they believe about God and Jesus. And remember, you must be sure of what you believe, and how you word and understand what you believe. When it comes to believing what you think you believe, and understanding what you think you believe, the devil is not somebody to play around with. You have to stick with a thus saith the Lord, in order to be on the safe side.

Now, here is the way it is worded in the Baptist faith and message: "The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son , and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. Jesus is fully God, and fully man."

Now, here it is from the Catholic Convert's Catechism: "In God there are three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, equal in all perfections. The Son proceeds from the Father by generation, and the Holy Ghost from the Father and the Son from all eternity."

Now, here it is in the Seventh Day Adventists Beliefs: "There is one God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal persons. God the eternal Father. God the eternal Son. Jesus forever truly God. God the eternal Spirit. From eternity God the Holy Spirit lived within the Godhead as the third member. The Father, Son, and Spirit are equally self existent."

Now, what about some religions who do not claim to be Christian? What do they say that they believe about God? Muslims believe in an almighty, all knowing, loving God. Jews believe in one God, the Father of all. Now, let us check the Bible and see what the Truth is about God and Jesus. Of the groups we mentioned, we will see which ones come the closest to the Bible: The non Christian groups or the ones who call their selves Christian; first of all, let us look at what the Baptists said: Nowhere in the Bible is the word Triune or Trinity. God does not reveal Himself as Son and Holy Spirit; But He is revealed through the Son and His Spirit. And no where does the Bible say that there is a division of nature, essence, or being in regard to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. No where in the Bible does it say God the Son, and no where in the Bible does it say God the Holy Spirit. So where do the Bible carrying Baptist get their information? Not out of the Bible! The Bible does not say that Jesus is fully God. Now what about what the Catholics said? The Bible does not say, In God there are three persons equal in all perfections. and how could the Son proceed into existence if He existed before He proceeded? And how could one be the Father of the other if they both have always existed and neither had a beginning? Now, what about the Seventh Day Adventist? The Bible does not say that there is one God which is a unity of three co-equal persons. Nowhere is the phrase, "God the eternal Son, or that Jesus is forever truly God, or God the eternal Holy Spirit." And it does not say that the Holy Spirit lived within the Godhead as the third member. The Bible does not say that the Father, Son, and Spirit are equally self-existent. Now, let us see what the Bible, the Truth says. Just pertaining to God, could it be that the Muslims and Jews are correct according to what the Bible says? We are not saying either one is the correct religion: But neither are any of the pagan-christians the correct religion. Only the Truth Followers who understand, follow, and obey the Truth as taught in the Bible is the correct religion. When we look at the Bible, we cannot try to make the Bible back up our beliefs: But we must lay aside our beliefs and believe the Bible. A verse that most people are familiar with, says it plainly:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotton Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life."

Now, is a person a Father before they have a son? God became God the Father when He had a Son. God's Son is the express image of God.

Heb. 1:1-3 "God who at sundry times (many different times) spake in divers manners (many different ways) spake in time past, unto the fathers by the prophets. Hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image (Exact copy or representation of character) of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when he (Jesus) had by himself purged our sins sat down on the right hand of the Majesty (divinity) on high."

Jesus, the Son, has a character just like His Father. God is not sitting beside Himself. God's Son is sitting at the right hand of the Father. And notice that a Father and Son is mentioned, but no mention of a third God.

2John 1:3 " Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in Truth and love."

Only God and Jesus are mentioned. No Bible writer ever sent grace and peace from the Holy Spirit. If there is a third God, why was there no greetings, praise, thanks, or any kind of attention ever given to Him? And why didn't the Father, or the Son ever say anything to Him? And there is no record where a third God, called the Holy Spirit, ever talked to the Father or the Son. The verse we just read says it explicitly clear, "Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father."

John 1:1-3 "In the beginning (first in rank, first in time, before there was any existence other than God) was the Word, (A thing or a Word that came from God) and the Word was with God, (The Father, the supreme Diety) and the Word was God. (The origin of the Word was God) The same was in the beginning with God. (The Word was with God before the beginning of anything else) All things were made by Him; (The Word, Jesus) and without Him (The Word, Jesus) was not any thing made that was made."

What we just read is only talking about God and His Son, calling Him the Word, and there is no mention of a third one back there in the beginning. The Father brought forth the Son, and then the Son carried out His Father's plan in the creation of all the worlds, and of every thing and every creature that exists.

1Cor. 8:6 "But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by Him."

No mention of a third one.

Eph. 3:9 "God in these last days hath spoken unto us by His Son, by whom also He made the worlds."

Out of God's heart came the Word of God.

Mat. 12:34 "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."

The first word that God spoke into existence was His Son; And Jesus the Word of God became flesh.

John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and Truth."

Jesus is the only begotten of the Father. Every other existence was by Jesus. Jesus is the ony existence that the Father alone brought into existence. Before Jesus became flesh, He communicated with man in Spirit.

1Peter 1:10,11 "Of which salvation the prophets (The prophets lived in the Old Testament time before Jesus became flesh) have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you. Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow."

That Spirit of Christ that moved the prophets what to write was the Holy Ghost.

2Peter 1:21 "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

And if all things were created by Jesus, then Jesus in Spirit is the Spirit of God that moved upon the face of the waters at creation.

Gen. 1:2 "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

Jesus was the Holy Ghost before He became flesh, and He is the Holy Ghost that has been with man since He went back to Heaven.

Mat. 28:20 "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world."

John 14:18 "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you."

Acts 20:28 "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which He hath purchased with His own blood."

It was Jesus, not the Holy Ghost, that purchased with His own blood. When Jesus talked about the Holy Ghost He was talking about Himself, but He said it in the third person, which causes it to sound like He is talking about someone else. Jesus talked that way in a bunch of places. For example:

Mat. 25:31 "When the Son of man shall come in His glory, and all the Holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory."

Now is there someone, other than Jesus, called the Son of Man going to come? No! The Son of man is Jesus. And there is not an extra God, called the Holy Ghost, other than Jesus, going to come, because Jesus is the Holy Ghost.

2Cor. 3:17 "Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty."

1Tim. 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."

How is Jesus mediating? By Spirit.

1John 2:1 "If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous."

How is Jesus being our advocate? By Spirit.

Heb. 7:25 "Wherefore He (Jesus) is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them."

How is Jesus interceding for us? By Spirit.

Rom. 8:34 "Who is He that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."

So, if Jesus is the only Mediator, the only advocate, the only intercessor, and He is doing it by Spirit; then what would be the job of an extra third spirit, if there was one? There is no third God! So, that is false. And if people are singing songs to a third God who are they singing to? The devil! And when that third God, that does not exist, comes over people, and they start jabboring in tongues, who is it that they are meeting with? The devil!

John 14:6 "Jesus saith, I am the way, the Truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Just Jesus: Not Jesus and another third one.

Gal. 4:6 "And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father."

Col. 1:27 "Christ in you, the hope of glory."

How is Christ in you? By Spirit!

Mat. 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

How is Jesus in the midst of them? In flesh, or spirit? Is Christ Holy? So if Jesus is in you and in the midst of you by Spirit, then would He not be the Holy Spirit that is in you and amongest you? Adam and Eve were a whole bunch smarter than we are; And the devil pulled the wool over their eyes: So as degenerate as we are, then we had better really be on our toes. If we are not careful, the devil will have us sitting in his lap and singing us a lullaby song, and we will not even know what is going on. Now, let us look at some more verses:

1Cor. 15:45,47 "The first man Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam (Jesus) was made a quickening spirit. The first man is of the earth, earthy: The second man is the Lord from Heaven."

Eph. 2:18 "For through Him (Jesus) we both have access by one spirit unto the Father."

Not two spirits! When Jesus was forgiving sins and doing the job that only God was supposed to do, they accused Him of blaspheming against God.

Mark 2:7 "Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?"

Now, if we believe that there is an extra third God, when there is not an extra third God, and saying that the third one is doing only the job that belongs to Jesus, the real Holy Spirit, then has the devil got people blaspheming against the Holy Spirit?

Mark 3:28,29 "Verily I say unto you, all sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies where with so ever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness but is in danger of eternal damnation."

Satan, the highest created being has always been jealous of God's Son, Jesus. Jesus has been given all authority over everything, even the devil.

Mat. 11:27 "All things are delivered unto me of my Father."

Why did the Father give it all to Jesus, and not any power or authority to the third one? If there is a third one? The devil is obsessed with trying to diminish the jobs and authority of Jesus: So, if the devil is sucessful in crediting what Jesus is doing to a third God that does not exist; and he gets people to give some of their worship and praise, that only belongs to the Father and the Son, then has he pulled off a deception or what!

James 5:19,20 "Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."
