Le Fanfic de Sailor Figment (in English!)

This is the debut of my one and only Sailormoon fanfic (for the moment). Let me know what you think.

Disclaimer: Naoko Takeuchi owns all the characters and DIC owns any NA translations. I merely sent the scouts on another strange adventure.

Historian's Note: It takes place just after the end of R, but before the beginning of S.

"Serena! Serena!"

Princess Serena looked around. The great hall of the Silver Millennium palace was empty and the doors were shut tight. Where was the voice coming from?

"Serena! Serena!"

There is was again. Princess Serena picked up her skirts and ran to the nearest exit. She thrust open the door and ran to the balcony. Standing on the steps below was the person who was calling her...

"OOOOOO! Why didn't somebody wake me up?!" Serena shot out of bed, throwing Luna on the floor in the process, and ran to get dressed. Within five minutes she was dressed and on her way downstairs. Around the kitchen table sat her mother, father, and Sammy. She grabbed the bag on the counter. "Hi, Mom. Bye, Dad," she said as she ran out the door.

"Where's Serena going?" asked her father. "Doesn't she know today is Saturday?"

Sammy laughed. "Serena is such a scatter-brain."

"Why can't school start at a reasonable hour, say noon?" She ran up the steps of Crossroads Junior Highschool and tripped. She picked herself and ran to the door. It was locked. "It can't be locked! I'm not that late!" She peered inside, everything was dark and empty. "Don't tell me I missed a field trip!"

"Serena!"

As a sense of deja vu washed over her, Serena turned around. Darien stood at the bottom of the steps.

"What are you doing?"

She walked down the stairs towards him. "I over slept and the school went on a field trip and I missed it." She was panting hard from all that running.

He looked ay her, trying not to laugh. "Serena," he said seriously, "it's Saturday."

"What?" she asked dryly. "Why didn't somebody tell me before I left the house. I bet Sammy wanted me to make a fool of myself!!"

Darien tried to resist the urge to laugh, but he couldn't.

Serena stared at him accusingly. "Don't you start!"

He put his arms around her, the smile still in his eyes. "Come on, it's still early, why don't we go for a boat ride out on the lake?"

"Okay!"

"You know, Darien, why would my mother pack me lunch on Saturday?" She opened the bag. Inside was the ends and leftovers of what her mother had used to make breakfast. "Iew! Gross!" She tossed the bag into the lake.

They rowed to the middle of the lake and were soaking up the sun when suddenly the boat tipped over. After finding their way back to the surface, Serena and Darien came up under the boat, and Serena hit her head on the side.

"It's not fair!" she said as she started to cry.

"This is definately not your day."

"You know, Darien, why would my mother pack me lunch on Saturday?" She opened the bag. Inside was the ends and leftovers of what her mother had used to make breakfast. "Iew! Gross!" She tossed the bag into the lake. Major sense of deja vu.

"Serena! Serena!"

Princess Serena looked around. The courtyard of the Silver Millennium Palace was empty. Where was the voice coming from?

"Serena!"

"Serena!"

There it was again. But this time there were two voices. She strained to see in the darkness. Standing by the reflecting pool was a shadowy figure. Princess Serena picked up her skirts and ran back through the palace and out of the building. She came upon the figure at the reflecting pool.

"Princess, you must help!"

"OOOOOOO! Why didn't somebody wake me up?!" Serena shot out of bed, throwing Luna on the floor in the process, and ran to get dressed. Within five minutes she was dressed and on her way downstairs. Serena stared at accusingly. "Don't you start!"

He put his arms around her, the smile still in his eyes. "Come on, it's still early, why don't we go for a boat ride out on the lake..." he trailed off, looking strangely at Serena. "This may sound crazy, but I sware we've done this at least once before."

"I know what you mean. If we go to the lake-" She opened her lunch bag. She and Darien both peered inside. It contained just what both of them had expected: the ends and leftovers of breakfast. "I think this calls for a Sailor Scout meeting."

"Oh, Great Fire, what is this new threat that is distorting time?"

The scouts and Darien were in the Cherry Hill Temple seated around the fire. Raye was calling on the Great Fire for answers to the questions.

The fire roared for a moment and then Sailor Pluto's planet symbol appeared in it.

Mina looked around the group. "I don't understand."

Ami spoke up. "Sailor Pluto is the guardian of time. Something might have happened to her that changed the space/time continuum."

"If we can contact Sailor Pluto she would be able to tell us why everything is repeating itself," said Lita.

"But everything isn't repeating itself," said Serena. "That dream, the one from the palace, is different every time. The first time the doors were shut and the person was on the stairs. The second time the doors were open and the person asked for help. The third time there were two voices and the person was by the reflecting pool."

"Did you recognized the voices?" asked Luna.

Serena shook her head. "No. And the moon wasn't destroyed, it was the same as the last ball, except without people."

"How did you know I was going to ask that?" asked Mina.

"Maybe this has happened before."

The fire roared again.

"We have have to contact Sailor Pluto," said Artemis. "But how?"

Raye turned around. "Oh, Great Fire, tell us how to reach Sailor Pluto."

After a few moments Sailor Pluto's staff appeared in the fire. The orb at the top began to glow and suddenly they were all in the corridor of time.

Luna and Artemis looked up at the girls and Darien. "Better transform, Scouts."

"Moon Crystal Power, Make-up!"

"Mercury Star Power, Make-up!"

"Mars Star Power, Make-up!"

"Jupiter Star Power, Make-up!"

"Venus Star Power, Make-up!"

"I am Tuxedo Mask!"

"Luna, now where are we going?" asked Sailor Moon.

"We have to find Sailor Pluto. Start searching. Sailor Mercury," asked Luna, "can you locate her with your visor?"

Mercury switched on her visor. "I don't see anything unusual. Wait! Down there!" She pointed to a place behind Tuxedo Mask. "There's something down there." They all began to run in that direction.

They kept running, but never seemed to get any closer. Finally, Sailor Moon stopped running, and, suddenly, she was right there. She turned around and saw the others running towards her, but they weren't getting any closer.

"Stop running!" she called out to them. They did and, as suddenly as she, they were there, too.

The object in front of them was a very faint and badly beaten Sailor Pluto. She pointed to an object that laid beside her. "Take this and go through that door." She pointed across the corridor.

Sailor Moon picked it up. It was the Crescent Moon Wand! She had lost it after the battle with Queen Beryl. That seemed like so long ago. She then turned and went through the door, the others following her.

They were back on the moon. Everything was as it was in Serena's dream: empty of people.

Mercury looked through her visor. "I don't see anything unusual, except a funny glow around the palace." She began to walk towards it and the others followed.

"Careful, Scouts," said Artemis. "This could be dangerous."

As they reached the front steps of the palace they noticed a person on the balcony.

"Serena! Serena!"

Everyone looked up at the figure.

"Queen Serenity!" said Tuxedo Mask.

"Sailor Moon! The princesses have unfinished business. You must reunite the past!"

Sailor Moon looked to the others. "What?"

"It must have something to do with the wand," said Jupiter. "That's why Pluto gave it to you."

*Reunite the past*, thought Mercury. "Sailor Moon, you have to put the Imperium Silver Crystal and the Crescent Moon Wand back together again. That's what Queen Serenity means."

Sailor Moon nodded. She took off her locket, opened it up, and removed the crystal. She was immediately transformed back into Serena. She placed the crystal in the wand. There was a flash of energy and she became Princess Serena, Tuxedo Mask became Prince Darien, and the other scouts became princesses of their respective planets. Immediately Prince Darien dropped to his knees and bowed to Queen Serenity.

"Princess Serena, Prince Darien," said Queen Serenity as she walked down the stairs towards them. Prince Darien stood. "Someone in the future has managed to harm Sailor Pluto and change the flow of time. The beginning of the distortion is in the future. With the help of Sailor Pluto, I was able to determine when the distortion will pass through this time. When it does, you must use the Imperium Silver Crystal to..." She never got to finish her sentence.

"Queen Serenity," said Prince Darien, "what must Princess Serena and the other princesses do with the Crescent Moon Wand?"

"You must combine all your powers with the crystal to defeat the enemy." Queen Serenity was beginning to fade, the prince and princesses felt the time distortion coming again.

"Quickly," said Princess Venus, "everybody gather around Princess Serena!"

Princess Serena held the wand up. The princesses and Prince Darien gathered around her.

"Mercury Planet Power!"

"Mars Planet Power!"

"Jupiter Planet Power!"

"Venus Planet Power!"

As each princess spoke she put a hand on the Crescent Moon Wand.

"Mother Earth Power!"

Prince Darien put and arm on either side of Princess Serena and placed his hands on top of hers.

The Imperium Silver Crystal seemed to slow down time so they could actually see the distortion wave coming. For a moment Princess Serena thought she saw a familiar face in the distortion. Queen Serenity had not told them who the enemy was. The memories of the last battle with Queen Beryl flooded her mind and she knew what to do.

"I will defeat you, in the name of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, *and* the Moon."

The distortion hit Queen Serenity and she disappeared.

"Cosmic Moon Power!" The crystal began to glow with the colors of the princesses: Mercury blue, Mars red, Earth brown, Jupiter green, Venus orange, and Moon pink. The energy formed a protective bubble around the royalty. "Ignite!" A stream of multi-colored energy blasted from the bubble and split the distortion wave. The wave collapsed just before it reached the bubble. The princesses and Prince Darien collapsed to the ground, their energy spent.

Queen Serenity reappeared and ran to Prince Darien and the princesses. she picked up the Imperium Silver Crystal and touched it to each of their faces. "Please, wake up!" she pleaded.

"What happened?" asked Princess Mercury groggily.

"You destroyed the time distortion."

Princess Serena slowly opened her eyes and closed her hand around the "Crescent Moon Wand! Where is it?"

Queen Serenity looked at her sympathetically. "It was destroyed."

"And the Crystal?" asked Prince Darien.

Queen Serenity held it up. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief at its safe appearance.

"Queen Serenity, who was the enemy that caused the distortion?" asked Princess Serena.

"Look into the Crystal."

She looked. "All I see is myself." She moved to look at Queen Serenity questioningly, but never got the chance.

Serena got as far as the front steps when she realized it was happening *again*. Suddenly Darien was walking up the front walk.

"Hi, Meatballhead. I was going to meet you at school, but I decided to stop you before you made a fool out of yourself again."

"My name is Serena, not Meatballhead! And for your information I know today is Saturday."

"Then why are you holding that bag of scraps and your school books?" He smiled.

"Force of habit?" she said sheepishly.

"Come on, we'll go for a boat ride on the lake and I'll by you lunch."

Oh. no. Not again.
