That’s right folks – The Circle of Life is going to make its third revolution – and this is no joke! Rumours have flown around, but now it’s official! Disney has chosen their scribes, and I quote (This is taken from the Cinescape website):

'Lion King 3' Scribes Walt Disney has picked scribes Jeff Ahlholm and Colin Goldman to write the script for Lion King 3, a direct-to-video production. According to Variety, Tom Rogers will also be contributing to the film's script. Plans are to complete production on the pic in time to hit video stores sometime next year.

But that is all we really know… The storyline hasn’t been decided yet (not even an inkling of a story is known, well, not that I know of!!!)

If you go to one of many The Lion King discussion forums there are very mixed reactions to The Lion King 3 flick… Personally I am rather excited, yet a little apprehensive; I have enjoyed Simba’s Pride immensely, but if the quality is any lower than SP, I’m not too sure… they’re going to have to make TLK 3 well ;)
Many, including myself, would love to see a prequel, but I doubt this is going to occur… considering Disney films are mainly ‘kids’ films, so the little ones aren’t going to know what the hell is going on and get the true feeling of The Lion King when they see a young Mufasa and Scar prancing on the screen!!
