Vehicle chassis Page

The 1st thing you need to know is what type of vehicle you want to build then figure how much money you have to spend.

(Chassis)/Weight of Vehicle Basic Cost in Credits Used Tonnage What you get*
(Light)/15 ton  11,250,000 credits 17.5 Vehicle with 1,000 pnts Standard armor and all internal structure including engine moving at a base of 90 MPH
(Medium)/50 ton 26,100,000 credits 44.25 Vehicle with 1,500 pnts Standard armor and all internal structure including engine moving at a base of 70 MPH
(Heavy)/90 ton 48,750,000 credits 65 Vehicle with 2,000 pnts Standard armor and all internal structure including engine moving at a base of 50
(Super Heavy)/150 ton 84,750,000 credits 98.75 Vehicle with 2,500 pnts standard armor and all internal structure including engine moving at a base of 40 MPH
(Dreadnought)/250 ton 157,500,000 credits 122.5 Vehicle with 3.000 pnts standard armor and all internal structure including engine moving at a base of 20 MPH

*I figured this out using just base line stuff nothing fancy. This figure does not include weapons or advanced sensors, in other words no to hit bonus's. The reason I did this is this is just a general figure for you to base this off of to figure what size vehicle you can get with the money you have and still have some money left over to get better sensors and add weapons to your vehicle.

The second thing you need to figure out is a chasis size, but since RIFTS really doesn't use this I'm giving a general figures here.

Frame Tonnage Internal Weight Wpn. Slots* Cost
Light 5-15 Tons 1/3 of desired weight 2-4 Slots 125,000credits/Ton of total weight
Med 16-50 Tons 1/3 of desired weight 3-5 Slots 150,000credits/Ton of total weight
Heavy 51-90 Tons 1/3 of desired weight 4-6 Slots 225,000credits/Ton of total weight
Super Heavy 91-150 Tons 1/3 of desired weight 5-7 Slots 275,000credits/Ton of total weight
Dreadnought 150-250 Tons** 1/3 of desired weight 6-9 Slots 450,000credits/Ton of total weight

* The reason for a variable Wpn slot is the lower end of the vehicle scale gets the lower slots the higher end gets the higher slots.

** I would probably not allow anything over 250 tons and that is really pushing it for any rational DM.
