Most of the vehicles within the Wolf Pack all have one thing in common. They are all powered by ELECTRIC ENGINES. The reason for this is quite simple, first of all when you consider the life expectancy of a battle vehicle is less than a week under battelfield condition, it doesn't make much sense to spend hundreds of millions of credits on a SINGLE vehicle that probably won't survive the first skirmish. Its simple economics my friend. Aside from that, if a NUCLEAR powered vehicle does sustain a critical hit, you can kiss anything in 5 mile area goodbye. When that reactor goes, its going to take more than a fire extinguisher to put that baby out!
Secondly, its cheaper to produce an Electrical Powered Engine than it is to make a Nuclear one. On top of that, it was easier for the Wolf Pack to begin building thier own vehicles this way than to subcontract Golden Age of Weaponsmiths, when we finally had our production facility up and running in Northridge. |
