The aim of Girl Guides of Canada - Guides du Canada
is to help girls and young women become
responsible citizens, able to give leadership
and service to the community, whether local,
national, or global.
Age Groups
Sparks 5- and 6- year olds
Brownies 7- and 8- year olds
Guides 9- to 12- year olds
Pathfinders 12 to 15 years old
Senior Branches 15 to 17+ years old
Leaders 18 years and up
As of this year, 2000, Girl Guides of Canada
is a 90 year old tradition in Canada.
This unique organization challenges girls
to be honest and trustworthy,
to use resources wisely,
to respect self and others,
to recognize and use talents and abilities,
to protect our common environment,
to live with courage and strength
and to share in the sisterhood of Guiding.
Guiding is open to every girl and woman
in the community. Girls can join Guiding at any age, without having belonged before.
