I have LOVED "The Beatles" ever since they first aired on 'The Ed Sullivan Show' waaaay back in the '60s. Below is a snapshot I personally took directly from the TV! This was taken in 1966 and shows my favorite (Paul) and my sister Mary's favorite mop-top (George).
I attended one of their concerts here in California at what is currently known as Dodger Stadium. My sister and I and countless others did our share of screaming, too. We even went to the airport to catch a glimpse of them. Did I say glimpse?? The picture on the left shows a 'glimpse' of their PLANE! While the picture on the right is only a reasonable facsimile of what my sis and I must have looked like at the one and only concert we attended! *S*
Mary and I shared a bedroom and put The Beatles
pics all over the walls, doors and mirrors. And, we certainly
weren't the only ones with the popular "Beatle" cut! How silly
it all seems now - but not back then! *smile* Here's my sister Mary and our puppy (Peppy) in the foreground watching her moon over George - her favorite Beatle!
Every Sunday I'd listen to a local radio station in Los Angeles that carried a show called, 'Breakfast with the Beatles'. They provided me with countless hours of enjoyment for over more than 15 years. Tune in Sundays from 9-noon on 95.5 KLOS!
And, don't miss LOVE, Cirque Du Soleil's spectacular fantasy tribute to the band featuring classic Beatles tunes in all their glory!
