| GRAYLING NORTHERN The Garden Railway |

| We put together a Garden Railway (G Scale) just to have something to do in the summer. This segment does not have the trackwork done according to procedure, but we were able to run trains all summer and learn all about this new adventure. Now, with experience and numerous idea's on how to lanscape a railroad properly, we will embark on building a superior railroad in the newly renovated wooded area behind the shed. It will connect with the existing track in the back yard after it has been relaid properly. We will model railroading in the Crawford County area. |

| Basic oval design in the back corner of the yard. This is just a temporary setting, we will construct a landscaped garden here with different perrenials and some small bushes. The whole thing will be surrounded by 4 x 4 timbers and the track will be laid on fine stone roadbed rather than 1 x 6 treated planks. | This is an Arito-Craft SD-45 which will be painted in our road scheme. The engine weighs 18 pounds and is 22 inches long. It has 4 motors and can be run under its own power with radio control. Track power is optional with G Scale. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
