Where does God come into all this?
Of course, the family could not function without the help of God. We rely on God and the people he prompts to support us in every way, to meet our needs. We are only able to minister to others as the means are provided.
In ministering to each other we are fulfilling God's purposes for us. Within the family we support each other, more so since the events of 1998. God made us to build relationships with each other.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those who have shared with us in the past, particularly in the past few years, who have stood by us, prayed with us and for us for God to work his purposes out and restore family members, to direct us for the future. Thanks also to those who wrote letters and those who were witnesses for us in the court cases.
In all of our lives, as Christians, we try to see where God is in the situation. In recent years it has sometimes been hard to see where He is, but part of the answer surely is, in the people who have supported and helped us, who have believed in us, in spite of everything that has been said about us by others and what has happened to us.
"We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed."
2 Corinthians 4 v 7-9.
