Welcome to Court's Cove.
It all started back in the summer of 1998. All my friends were getting web pages, and I wanted one too. We had just gotten the internet not too long before, and it fascniated me. That summer was also when I got my first free web-based email. It was exciting. Anyway, I hooked myself up with a free Angelfire website not knowing a single line of HTML. I learned mostly everything on my own, and what I couldn't figure out, I'd ask the most proficient web programmer I knew...Michael Falk.
While Angelfire was a great place to learn all I needed to get started, and underwent a few makeovers in the past 6 years. I read all the tutorials and asked a lot of questions, and eventually, I started using notepad instead of the easy editors Angelfire provided. So, to make a long story no shorter, Angelfire was good to me for quite a while, but recently my site had been plagued with popup ads of all kinds. At least 3 on every page. It got to the point of ridiculous, so I decided to move out of Angelfire. So now I'm here on Geocities and am able to tolerate the single popup so much easier.
This page is all about complete and utter nonsense. Except not really. It's mostly about me and whatever I find interest in at any particular moment. Hence, the randomness of my subjects.
One of the things I'm interested in is making graphics. All of the title graphics within my pages are made by me. The images of pirates, as far as I know, are open domain, colored by me. Please don't steal them. I worked hard. Except for the pirate on my Captain's page. That one was hand-drawn by one of my best friends, Joel. I thought it was a great likeness, so I deemed it to be the only pirate good enough to go on the page about me. I scanned it into my computer and colored it. I think it turned out great. So don't steal that one either. He worked hard. Therefore all images contained within the confines of my site are copyright Court Marley 2004.
That's all I really have to say about my little home on the web. I hope you enjoy your stay. If you feel like it, please drop me a line and let me know how you like it here. I'm always up for suggestions on how to improve or what to add. I also *really* like getting messages from random surfers. :)
So, have a look around. Enjoy yer stay. And as always, watch yer back, cuz there be pirates about.
