According to "Guan Yinzi"
or so called "Wenshi Zhenjing"
: "Ghost (in the form of) clouds is Hún, ghost (in)
white is Pò"
.
It also said, "Spirit is what the nebulous ghost hides."
. In the "The Inner Classic of the Yellow
Emperor" or "Huangdi Neijing"
, there is a similiar
saying but from a slight different angle of view: "That which follows the
spirit to come and go is called as the nebulous ghost."
. These
show that the nebulous ghost is like the body of the abstract spirit.
Also in "Guan Yinzi": "The
spirit in action is not named spirit, but named as intention (Yi);
Intention in action is not named intention, but named as the ghost in
white." ![]()
These
sentences point out the relationship between the spirit, intention and the ghost
in white.
