Springtime Springtajm
Run #9 - Plans are now finalized for a Week-End extravaganza this spring. But keep checking back for more info!
The next Key-Hole event will take place on Friday the 26th to Sunday the 28th of May.
As usual the cost of the event will include all run related food and drinks on Saturday, and drinks and lunch on Sunday, but you have to organize your own accomodation. Cost for the week-end will be at most SEK 200, not including t-shirts. T-shirts will be available for a measly SEK 100 each.
Details are as follows -
Friday pub-crawl, disorganised by V.D.Viking and First Step, starting from Larmtorget at 7 pm.
Saturday main run, Hare: First Step co-Hared by V.D.Viking. Starting from Långviksvägen 14 at 1 pm. Pick-up from the Station at 12:30 pm for those of you who needs help to find the Hash. The Run and Circle will be followed by a barbecue dinner and plenty of beer.
Sunday hangover run, Hare: Ingrid Larssen. Starting from the Station at 11 am. The week-end will end with circle and a early light dinner.
Please bear (beer?) in mind that K2H4 is an adult Hash, and though we'd never refuse people to bring children to one of our runs, we won't change our ways because of their presence. Since we're an adult Hash, real beer (bear?) is our choice of drinks (plus almost anything that has an alcohol content of more than 4% ABW or ABV), and non-alcohol drinkers might find their choices very limited.
The Key-Hole Hash is also very small and therefore we don't have a large Hash Cash. So please help us out by telling us if you're coming at 'vdviking(a)msn.com'. Also if you need to cancel, please tell us so as early as possible. Cancellations with less than one week left before the run will be considered very rude indeed. This is not a registration per se, but tell us your shirt size, if you want one, and we'll make sure one is available for you.
from Gothenburg/the west coast - all options are open here, but I'm told that the train is a very good option on that route (root?). A lot of the hotels in Kalmar lies just a short walking distance from the train station.
from outside of Sweden - get to Stockholm or Gothenburg and take your choice of transportation from there.
The better ways of getting to Kalmar are -
from Stockholm/the North - bus, car or plane. While the trains are also available they are both slow and expensive and not a very good alternative. Driving time, including the buses, from Stockholm is around 5 hours, give or take half an hour depending on speed and rest stops. Flight time from Stockholm is 40 minutes, and there are buses leaving the airport in conjunction with the arriving planes. These buses (no 20) costs SEK 30 and stop very close to several of the hotels and also downtown Kalmar.
