I am researching all Rainey from Clearfield and adjoining counties. John Rainey 1853-1936 had a son Grier 1884-1953. John is the son of Robert and Sarah Michaels. dates unk. John had at least two brothers, George and possibly James. George m. Mary and had Aaron, Carl, Blair, James. John had besides Grier, Vennie, Boyd, Jess, Gordan,Jenny. Grier was my husbands grandfather so I know more about this line. Anything sound similar to you please let me know.

I'm searching for the family of James A. Dubbs (1847-1921) and wife Margaret Mary Martha (Kennelley) Dubbs (1855-1923). Martha as she was known died in Houtzdale at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Homer Wagner. Another dau, Mrs. William Laffin, was livin in Pittsburgh at the time. I am grateful for any info and am willing to share.

PETER HENRY, b. 1820 said Clearfield Co. There was a Peter Henry in Butler Co., not known if connected. "family was Irish Catholic, Peter sent to seminary (where?), didn't like it. Left home aged ca 16, parents disowned him. Two sisters kept in touch by letter for several years, both mar. Catholics. Neither heard from after Johnstown flood". Not known if they lived there, or it was a coincidence in time. No other names known. Peter went to live with Oliver MORGAN,Sr. in Hocking Co.learned tailoring trade. He mar. in 1847 at Norwich OH (Muskingum Co. ) to Ann DINGEY d/o Joseph DINGEY and Rac el HARVEY. Peter HENRY died at Young Hickory, OH where he was postmaster. Will exchange info. Thanks. Grace.

I am currently doing research on the following family members: George Washington Sellers b. 2-23-1825 d. 3-31-1895 Married Mary ODEKERK d. 1917 their child was Annie Eva Sellers (youngest of five daughters) born in Hollidaysburg Blair County PA in 1861 d. 1917 interred 5-28-1917 in Rose Hill Cemetery Altoona Blair County PA. Annie married George VanScoyc Rollins on -17-1890. George was born in Clearfield County in 1861. He died on 7-31-1925. His second wife was Alice Chambers. George's parents were Jones Rollins born in Blairsville Indiana County PA d. 3-28-1896 and his was Susan C. Curtis d 8-9-1927. Jones parents were Joseph and Mary R.
