I am looking for the family of my grandmother, Vida Jessie Dolby, who died in 1925, I think she was born in Dubois to Harry DOLBY and Mae CLINTON. She had at least to sisters Effie and LaRue who was married to Wes Reed [Read]. Aunt LaRue had a daughter whose name was Carol I believe. Aunt Larue raised my Aunt Alice who was deaf and I think Aunt Dorothy was raised by Effie. Any info would be very valuable to me. Thank you.

My grandparents are Wilbur I. Edmundson and Kathryn Sloey, both born in the early 1900's, in the Houtzdale/Ramey/Tyrone area. His parents are Wilbur Blair Edmundson and Nannie (Nancy) Nearhoof. Wilbur B's parents Joseph Edmundson and Annie Beck. The Beck family can be traced back to the mid-1700's where they settled in Warriors Mark. My gandmother's parents were John Asbury Sloey and Susanna Fetters. His parents were Thomas Sloey and Rebecca Seiford. Susanna's father was Lewis Greer Fetters, who I know was in the Civil War and I believe, served as a Sheriff in Clearfield or a neighboring county. Any input would be appreciated.

I am trying to find information on my biological grandfather, John HARNISH. The only information I have is from his mother's obituary. She was Mrs. Elizabeth (DUDAK) HARNISH. She was born in Germany on Jan. 30, 1877. She died in Smoke Run around 1959. Her husband's name was Joseph. Her other children and their adresses at the time of the obituary include the following: Carl HARNISH, Ginter; Mrs. Annie HAMER, Tyrone; Henry HARNISH, Ramey; Mrs. Bertha OPALITSKEY, Mrs. Mary SMITH, Mrs. Helen PEACHMAN, Ms Clara BELIN, all of Smoke Run; and Joe HARNISH, New York. I am searching for information about my grandparents. My one set of grandparents lived in Winburne, Pennsylvania. There names are Peter Nudge was was born in Hungary on 4-19-1883 and he died in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania on 1-1-1971. Anna Laskai Nudge was bo n in Hungary on 4-18-1891 and she died in Winburne, Pennsylvania on 6-11-1968. Peter married Anna Laskai on 6-19-1913 in Winburne, Pennsylvania. My other set of grandparents lived in Hawk Run, Pennsylvania. Andrew Pollock was born in Czeslovakia on 11-23-1886 and he died in Hawk Run, Pennsylvania on 1-31-1964. Anna Mihalou was born in Hawk Run, Pennsylvania on 11-3-1893 and she died in Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania on 9-7-1968. Andrew married Anna Mihalou on 5-18-1908 in Hawk Run, Pennsylvania. Searching for two brother or father and son named Red John, and Curly John. They were supposed to have sailed from Ireland around Civil War time. One of them was a carpenter and lived to be 104. John son Andrew Curtis married Lydia Shirk Oct. 1888 in Woodward twp. The marriage cert. states Andrews parents were Joh and Susan. I have found a John and Susan but they were both born in PA. Looking for other kin and more information on: HIRAM LYNN McCLINSEY, m ELIZABETH ALICE TEMPLE in 1891 at Lumber City. They lived in Bell Township. ELIZABETH was the daughter of RUSSELL and MATILDA DICKEY TEMPLE of Chatham township, Tioga county. RUSSELL was a sawmill operator who was employed by the C earfield Lumber Company at the turn of the century. He eventually moved out of the area, and I do not know where he died. HIRAM was the son of JAMES McCLINSEY and CATHERINE SPENCER. They are buried in the Friends Cemetery at Grampian. JAMES was the son of HIRAM McCLINSEY and DEBORAH MYERS. HIRAM was from Centre county, Deborah from Lycoming. They married in 1832 in Centre County. Their place of burial is unknown. HIRAM was the son of JAMES McCLINSEY. He came to this county around 1810 and settled in Centre county where he is buried. If you have more information on any of these folks, I'd love to hear from you. I am researching Patrick DONNELLY and his wife, Catherine MCLAUGHLIN. They lived in Houtzdale, Clearfield Co., in the 1870 and 1880 census. Patrick was born about 1842 in PA, and Catherine was born about 1844 in PA. According to the History of Clearfield Co, written in 1887 by Lewis Cass Aldrich, "Patrick Donnelly built the St. Charles Hotel." Patrick and Catherine had the following children: James F. b.1859 (m. Agnes Cecelia CROWLEY abt. 1882); Barbara b. 1862; John b. 1864; Catherine b. 1866; Sarah b. 1868; Richard b. 1869 (md. Alice Trexler); Mary Ann b. 1875; and Robert b. 1878. It may be under Willard Shoff as there is one in the 1870 Census records, instead of Millard.
