SAMUEL DIXON-B-JUNE 1850-BOGGS TWP CLEARFIELD, PA married MARGARET B- 1852--children known-THOMAS,BELLE,LYDIA,JOHN,RALPH DIXON therE were more children not listed in the 1900 census.....CATHERINE was listed in 1880 census. this is the person I'm most interested in and whom she married and what happened to her. Her son (possibly) was RALPH CUPPS-----was raised by SAMUEL AND MARGARET for some reason. can anyone help?

I am looking to find the genealogy ties of my Father, Ernest Kean Roper who was born in DuBois, Pa on 6-02-1901 and died in St. Marys, Pa on 1/1/1943. His parents were Arthur (Joseph?) Roper, Died 12-27-1929 in DuBois,PA(?). Arthur Roper was married to Anna Kean who died in 1939 in DuBois,Pa. I believe that DuBois is in Clearfield County. David Wylie was married to Elizabeth Harvey. They had 9 children with 6 living in 1910. I know the names of the children that died, but nothing else. David died in 1913 or 1914 of Black lung. They lived in Glen Richey and Frugality,Pa. Elizabeth was pregnant for Margaret when David died. Margaret was born in New York State. Elizabeth had older children living in that area at the time. (Steuben County) David came to the USA around 1966 at one year old with his father. I believe that David,s parents are James and Janet, both from Scotland. I am seeking any information on these folks anyone may have, but am most interested in where David and his children are buried. The Urbans or Urbanskis came from East Prussia and their daughter, Augusta, married David and Elizabeth,s son John Percy Wylie. They lived in Clearfield Pa.

His father was Jesse and his mother was Delta Irene McCRACKEN. I know that Delta and her sister Stella were married to brothers. I am in search of James HASSAN and Mary LIPPERT. They were married in Clearfiled, Clearfield Co, PA. in 1871. They had five children, all boys, James, John, Frank, William and Charles HASSAN. The father James HASSAN who married Mary LIPPERT was killed in a minning accident in 1878, not sure where. His wife Mary came back to Clearfield, she died after giving birth to my grandfather Charles Augustine HASSAN. All 5 boys were put in the St. Joseph Orphenage in Erie, PA. They are all listed on the 1880 census in Erie, as being in the Orphenage. My grandfather Charles was adopted by Edward and Mary BOWERS from Elk , later Cameron Co, PA,after 1880. His name was changed to Joseph Edward BOWERS. He also had an adopted sister named Cami BOWERS. Joseph stayed on the farm with his adopted parents until they both died. So between 1911-1920 he left PA and came out to Oregon. If anyone has information on any of these individuals please contact me!!!!!!

I am researching the family of William Harley Matteson from whom I descend. Two of his brothers, Alonzo Matteson and Sidney Matteson, resided in the Snyder Township of Jefferson County (per the 1860 PA Federal Census). In 1860 William Harley was living in the Fox Township of Clearfield County with his wife Electa and five children. I believe the parents of William, Sydney, and Alonzo to be Russell Matteson and Marcia Robbins. William, Sydney, Alonzo, Russell, and Marcia were all born in Sydney PA. I would greatly appreciate ANY information, or leads, on this family. Thank You for your help.

I am looking for information on my gggrandfather JOHN D. SIMPSON who was born around 1838 in Wayne county. He enlisted in the army in Feb. 1864, in Easton, Pa. I believe he lived most of his life in Pa. and the Phila. area. He died in 1892 in Phila. and is buried in Arlington National Cemetary in D.C. He had 1 son I know of, named "SAMUEL Y SIMPSON" who was born on Nov. 04,1869 in the Phila. area. He married a "JENNY BRADY" born 1871 again in the Phila. area. HOLMES BEVERIDGE COLE SMITH HIND circa 1900. I have a photograph of five HIND sisters immigrants from Scotland. It is mounted on cardboard impressed with "Phil E. Griesemer Du Bois, PA" apparently the photographer. Agnes = Mrs. David COLE ; Margaret = Mrs. Alexander SMITH ; Jean = Mrs. Andrew BEVERIDGE ; Mary = Mrs. George SMITH ; Martha = Mrs. George E. HOLMES (my great grandmother).
