The following works of art hold a special place for Mrs. Schultheis
Burl & Naomi
Barney was my first pony. I met him when I was 8 years old and he was three.
My Aunt owned him at that time, but eventually he became my pony. He lived to the age of twenty eight.
I broke him to ride, as well as to harness and to do all kinds of tricks over the years. He taught me how to stand up for myself, to be tough and if I don't succeed the first time try again and again til I do succeed.
He and I came to a meeting of the souls and for his lifes lessons he will always hold a special place in my heart along side of Smokey Blaze, Two Stars, and my current horse Golden Lace.
Original oil painting of Mrs. Schultheis's first beloved horse, Smokey Blaze.
Her parents purchased Smokey Blaze as a six week old colt and she grew up learning from him, and loving him for 33 years.
Fifteen of those years were spent in the show ring winning ribbons. She and Blaze also did lots of trail riding and other activities together.
