This is 2011, way beyond 1984. We need leaders who are aware of the real issues and willing to do something about them. This at a time of fiscal austerity, when key services and programmes are being cut. So you ask "is this more important to you than lifesaving operations? Than NASA? Than microchip research? Than the NSF? Than urban infrastructure?"Counties NEED to save money." They should consider saving money on the CPS system which is very likely to get the county sued.”The CPS is expensive to maintain!"Yes, Americans are being forced to give up food, forgo dental appointments, necessary clothing for their children and health care premium payments to put gas in the tank. Our people are suffering the failed policies of Congress (both parties) for decades in a land rich in human and natural resources."Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath?" --Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XVIII, 1782. ME 2:227, American people said they wanted change. In 2006, with the exception of changing 31 seats in House of representatives, the people allegedly voted back the same incumbents, many of them leftovers from the phony "Republican Revolution" of 1994, many of them left over progressives and liberals who were ousted in 1994. Brought them all back for change! How can you expect change when you put the same liars and crooks back in office? To vote against the "other side"? There is no logic in that justification because all you're doing is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
CPS is sister to Health related relations which would mean by the rights of America.
"primum non nocere" is the first priority of a caregiver. You give care, yes? That's what you say. Then take the oath, and make your workers take the oath!
They to should be trained and obligated to uphold the Hippocratic oath; (Google it. MUST read)
OR In Australia, there's an organization known as BUACA- Bikers United against Child Abuse. Let's say we had something like that here. And when the CPS worker comes, there happen to be some BUACA volunteers there, "investigating" whatever claims and supporting the families (but in fact, they're really just there to make the CPS worker nervous). The CPS worker gets frightened. Tactically, such actions have proven themselves in history, I think.
