Leonardo T. Pañares Lodge No. 220

Greetings!!! With the advent of new technologies, the school as the venue of instruction must be equipped with tools and instruments of learning to prepare the youth to be more competitive in the future. The responsibility of providing assistance on whatever form lies not only on the government alone but also the private sector or organizations like that of our lodge.

As part of its 2006 Plans and Programs, last June 23, 2006, at the Bayanga

Elementary School situated at Barangay Bayanga, Cagayan de Oro City, a fairly depressed Class D Barangay received two sets of computers and accessories from L.T. Pañares Lodge No. 220, Free and Accepted Masons. The Barangay officials, school staf and the students were overwhelmed with the benevolence and assistance of the masons in attendance. Bro. Cedric Cabardo, a competent computer tutor and Bro. Steven Heilger, a computer enthusiast from USA took turns in discussing Computer Literacy and Operating System with the teacher in-charge as well as the students.

The Adopt A School Project: Computer Donation was coordinated by yours truly with assistance of Bros. Edwin Amik, Cedric Cabardo and Steven Heilger. This project was a brainchild of your Worshipful Master Sulpicio Henry Legaspi. The school staff headed by heir principal, Mr. Rudy Villalobos and Ms. Necy Libres prepared a sumptuous heavy merienda of native chicken dish and fruits. In behalf of the committee we would like to thank the LTP bretheren who took time out from their busy schedule to be with us in the Turn-Over of these computers, to wit: VW's R. Tirona, R. Guerra, E. Cabardo, WB's T. Chan, D. Espancho, Bros. E. Amik, C. Cabardo, R. Gabaon, N. Sadava, S. Heilger. Likewise, the turnover were witness by the barangay officials heaed by Brgy. Captain Romeo Edades, Kagawad L. Baang, J. Guro, V. Galarpe, M. Damalan and R. Matamad and coordinated by our very own Bro. Kagawad Fred Santiago.
