This page serves as download central for The Rasa Pañcadhyaya in a number of differing formats. The Rasa Pañcadhyaya actually consists of five chapters of the Bhagavata Purana, Book 10, chapters 29 through 33. It is often read with the object of developing madhurya bhava within devotees of Krishna. Furthermore, The Rasa Pañcadhyaya ends with the following promise: ‘The sober person who is endowed with faith should hear and describe these pastimes of Vishnu with the maidens of Vraj. Achieving supreme devotion to the Lord, one quickly frees oneself from lust, the disease of the heart.’

The Rich Text Format (RTF) requires use of the ‘TITUS Cyberbit Basic’ True Type Font (TTF), included as a download below. This font contains all of the diacritical marks used in the text and without this font, the Sanskrit words will not appear correctly. When you have downloaded the font, unzip it and incorporate it into your Windows operating system through Start > Settings > Control Panel > Fonts > File > Install New Font, then indicate the location of the unzipped TTF font file. Once properly installed in Microsoft Windows®, your browser and wordprocessing programs will be able to use the font. Note that older versions of Windows, such as 3.1, might not be able to properly incorporate such a large TTF font file. Those files that are zipped will require a program such as Winzip or Stuff It to uncompress these files in older Operating Systems.

You may read The Rasa Pañcadhyaya directly by viewing the plain text file. The text file is not formatted and so viewing it in your browser will require considerable scrolling to see all of the text. After loading it into your browser, you can save The Rasa Pañcadhyaya as a text file and view it in a wordprocessor that allows "word wrapping" of the text.

  Rich Text Format (RTF) is a universal wordprocessing format that preserves formatting of the text. It is readable by Microsoft Word® and most other modern wordprocessors. Because RTF files are actually ASCII text files, they should not transmit viruses or other malevolent coding. The font used was ‘TITUS Cyberbit Basic,’ which possesses the symbols necessary for transcribing the Sanskrit words and names used herein. If you do not already have this font, please download it from one of the links below.

  TITUS Cyberbit Basic TTF is an exceptionally large font (over 2 Mb unzipped) consisting of a huge number of differing symbols and characters. The appearance of printed output using this font is considerably nicer than the screen version of the font. Older versions of Windows, such as Microsoft Windows 3.1, might not be able to properly incorporate this large font file.

  Load an HTML series of spreadsheets detailing items such as "Symptoms of 9 Stages of Bhakti" and "Qualifications of a Guru by Practice" from an ISKCON related website. I have found this chart to be extremely useful but I cannot vouch everything within. Much of it references the works of Prabhupada and other Gaudiya lineage teachers. It does not mention the path of Mirabai or destinations as wives and lists the manjari bhav as the destination through the Caitanya lineage. A frame referencing all other pages will be found at the bottom of all the component webpages. Once loaded in a browser window, take the option to "Save As".
