Kevin And Make-A-Wish
Kevin became a Make-A-Wish recipient when he was diagnosed with cancer in Highschool, at just 18 years of age. After diagnosos his chance of recovery looked slim and Make-A-Wish asked him what his hearts desire was. Kevin asked to meet producer/composer/performer David Foster. Kevin did get his wish and formed a friendship that would help him through two years of chemotherapy. Much to everyone's surprise, Kevin went into remission in 1990.
When Kevin's first release, "Nobody Knows," hit the top of the country music charts he had a wishbone tattooed on his chest. The wishbone is the Make-A-Wish Symbol. He is still an active supporter of this wonderful foundation, which gives young people with life threatening diseases a chance to fulfill a life dream.
Trophies are nice, but the award Kevin values most is the
"Wishgranter of the Year" annually
bestowed by the Make A Wish
Foundation. Kevin, who is national
spokesman for the group, was
singled out for the devotion,
dedication and inspiration he
provides the children.
