| The mouth of the River Dart, which was defended from attack by Brownstown Battery. Without the battery to help defend the town it would have been heavily pummeled by attacks from the air - especially the Naval College and shipwrights. I often imagine how many German airmen saw the same view as above on their way back to France? |
