Evangelio is the Esperanto word for the gospel, or the account of the life of Jesus Christ. The evangelio is written by four different writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Often these four accounts, as presented in the New Testament, are not written in a strictly chronological order. Some sections of the narrative are written by only one evangelist, some by two, some by three, and some by four. But by combining the four accounts of an event into one "chapter," it is possible to obtain a narrative with a richness of detail unavailable by reading only one or two writers.
