Evelyn was my grandmother. Her obituary read "HALE -- Evelyn
Ramsay "Upchurch", born in Bates, Arkansas May 11, 1916,
passed away on July 2, 1994 at the Regency Nursing Center. She was a
resident of Escondido for 15 years. She volunteered at the Joselyn Center
in Escondido for 14 years. She is survived by 4 siblings, 14 children,
62 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and a large number of loving
friends. She will be missed."
Ona and Evelyn Ramsay had 15 children. The first couple where
born in Oklahoma. One is buried there. The rest of the
children were born in California.
