Title: Sir Drake/Draco/KinSlayer
Background:
I have been participating in Renaissance Faires for close to 10
years. I guess that over the years I have taken on the persona of
a mercenary. The warrior of chaos yet defender of law. My friends
call me Sir Drake or Draco. I kave also been known as
KinSlayer (which I have borrowed from a fantasy character known as
Elric of Melnibone. I am a huge Elric fan and thus I have taken one
of his alias's)
Garb:
I started my garb with a white peasant shirt, black pants, and a
Starmite vest from Moresca. I wore that set for a few years. Then I
decided I needed to evolve into something more elaborate. So, I
began adding to my garb every year. The next piece that I acquired
was a purple and black Slashed Doublet from Moresca.
It is one of my favorite pieces and I still wear it every year to the Faire.
It is because of the doublet that I adopted a Purple theme in my garb.
At the opening weekend of the 1995 NYRF I happened to wander
into The Enchanted Cottage.
They make fabulous pieces of fantasy
leather armor and I have always admired their work. Well, as I entered
the booth that day I spied a piece of purple and black armour
hanging on the wall that was one of the finest pieces I had ever
seen. It did't take much arm twisting to convince me that we should
be "Forever" joined. The following year I added leg greaves to match
and this year I acquired a pair of custom Gothic gaunlets that match
my armor.
My current garb (as seen in the picture above) consists of the following:
Clothing:
All of my clothing is from Moresca.
Purple Shirt

Slashed Doublet (purple and black)
black knee-high boots (Minetonka Mocasins)

Armaments:

Breast Plate/Pauldrons (was given the name "Forever" by it's creator)
