Starting With A Factory Car

I remember me and my brother skipping school to go look at cars. I was a senior in high school and suffering from "senioritis" and would do anything to get out of school. My brother was a junior and thought looking at cars was not only more fun than going to class but more "important." Guess he wanted to make sure I chose the right vehicle... At the time I was driving a 2000 Chevy Blazer LT. It was a very nice car, but just not me. I had it for 7 months before I found my new Firebird. I got it on March 31, 2001 and my brother, also got his 2000 Trans Am two days before I got my car.

This is a picture of my car completely stock. I hadn't even returned my blazer to the dealer when this picture was taken, so I know I hadn't had the opportunity to "booger" it up.

Here is a picture of my Firebird with my old Blazer.
I am so used to looking at the way my car looks now, that looking at these before pictures with it all white hurts my eyes. It was too white and I am glad I took care of that.

My factory car came with factory chrome rims, and ground effects. It also has a 10 speaker Monsoon stereo system, leather seats with a leather wrapped steering wheel, shifter, and emergency break. It has power everything, from the mirrors to the windows and front seats. I like that it has dual airbags and anti-lock breaks. The car has a strong 3.8 liter V6 engine, and no it is not as fast as say my bro's 5.8 V8, but it's pretty quick for a V6 and with a few mods of my own, it won't be left in the dust.

I took my car to Circuit City almost immediately to order a special box to hide in my trunk with a MTX 10" sub to put in it. When people here my system they usually are shocked when I tell them it's only a 10" The Monsoon stereo and speakers really help push the sound and my sub could easily be identified as two 12"

After I Ieft there I went to the Sign Shop in Newberry and had my side and rear windows tinted. I also had the "Pontiac" on the back filled in with red and few other decals put on which have now been taken off. I also put a decal across the front windshield.

By now I have started college and thanks to the "Life Scholarship" I did not use my money my parent's had been saving and investing for me to go to college. Don't worry...I put some of that money to good use. I had unique flames air-brushed onto my car by a very talented artist in West Columbia. He is so good, my dad trusted him to paint a checkerboard pattern onto his corvette, and he also painted an awesome Phoenix (this is the emblem firebird) with flames for wings that turn into racing stripes on my brother's car.
