Here I plan on telling you all about .hack//sign because I watch the show every Saturday night and I still don't understand it that much *lol* so i'm here to help you out!

The story

.Hack//Sign The greatness of this anime is filled with so much originality, it puts any other anime clearly to a lower level. .Hack//Sign was such a great 27 episode anime(they need to make more *sniff*), that I would watch it again and again. Here I will try to provide you with the most information from this game as I can, so bear with me if I don't have it all! Lets start with a mini review to keep your attention on this page! Mini Review In the near future of 2005, the online world s corrupted by a internal virus called Pluto's Kiss. Two years later, after people access the Internet once again virus free, CC Company releases its latest (and greatest) product, a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that over 20 million people world wide found most interesting to play. You even got to wear a cool visor headset, login with your very own player character, and even have your own attack class! These included Wavemasters, or in other words a sorcerer, and Heavy Bladers. The setting of the game is a fantasy world made up of vast fields and dungeons to fight in, and towns to shop in; you can even join parties to gain exp quicker, and also chat with other players while playing and trade items. This game is called, The World. You travel place to place by going to Chaos Gates, you battle with magic and might, and players choose their online attitude that they wish to play as. But what happens when attitude reaches its limits, and when you suddenly can't leave The world? .Hack//Sign takes place mostly in The World. You don't get to see very much from the real world, only small glimpses at a time. In The World, the main character is Tsukasa, a Wavemaster who finds himself in a dungeon having no memory of how he got there or why. Not so long after, Mimiru a young and perky Heavy Blader confronts Tsukasa while seeking her treasure. Becoming concerned about Tsukasa's choice of words and actions, Mimiru tries to understand Tsukasa and why he wont be more friendly to her, and why he wont accept her help. Tsukasa begins to think more about the position that he is in, and starts to realize that he cant remember anything from the outside world. He also can't seem to log out of The World, and doesn't know why he is in The World to begin with. Progressing into the show, Tsukasa begins to realize just how much The World smells, feels and even tastes like the real world, he is also able to teleport to parts of The world that are inaccessible to other players. By heart, Tsukasa seems like a lost scared kid, but he doesn't seem to mind the fact that he cant log out. In result of Tsukasa's rash behavior, he attracts a lot of wanted, and unwanted attention, such as the Crimson Knights who are moderators of The World, and do not tolerate any odd behavior with the system. The Crimson Knights first encounter Tsukasa only to know more information about a cat-like PC called Maha, the reason for its feline appearance is for the fact that its owner hacked the character codes. Tsukasa gets persuaded by other characters such as Mimiru and Bear, a strong Blademaster, BT a beautiful and powerful Wavemaster, Subaru a optimistic and watchful Heavy Axer, Sora a ruthless and annoying Twin Blader and Krim a kind and loyal Long Arm. They all become involved in Tsukasa's sad and wondering situation, and are all more then willing to find out the reasons to why Tsukasa is here, and why he cant log out.

Name: Tsukasa The world character type: Wavemaster The main character in dot hack sign. Tsukasa is not the social type, and does not want help from other people. Unable to logout of the world, tsukasa drifts from server to server with his guardian. Name: Bear The world character type: Blademaster Bear likes getting into other peoples business and helping out nOObs in the world. More importantly, he wants to help out tsukasa. Offline, bear is around 40 years old (!) and a writer. Name: Mimuru The world character type: Heavyblade Mimuru is a energetic nOOb who tries to act like an expert. Mimiru and tsukasa never really get along until the end of the series. Offline, Mimuru is a 15 year old (girl) sophmore in Junior High. Name: Subaru The world character type: Subaru is a server administrator in charge of the Scarlet Knights. Offline, not much is known about her, except that she is (spoiler ahead) a paraplegic. Name: Helba The world character type: She's a hacker, duh! Helba is a infamous hacker known in the world. It is unknown if Helba is one person or a group of hackers. She is a professional and takes her work very seriously Helba makes an apperance in the last few episodes of sign. Name: BT The world character type: BT; Bacon Lettuce and Tommato minus the Lettuce. That is the origin of her nick name. BT is constantly stalked (and killed) by Sora. Name: Krim The world character type: Long arm Krim is known as "The Red Lightning". He was once a member of the Crimson Knights, but quit for unknown reasons. While in the world, Krim's sole purpose seems to be protecting Subaru from harm.(very very hot) Name: Sora The world character type: twin blade Sora likes to stalk and kill character players for unknown reasons. His recent obsession is with BT.

Chaos Gates Chaos Gates are transit points in the game where player characters go to travel between different parts of "The World". Each gate looks like a rotating mirror filled with translucent blue glass. Every town possesses a single chaos gate, and from this gate players can reach fields and other towns. Towns Towns are focal points for each server where players gather to chat, buy items, save their games, store items, and raise grunties. Each server's town is modeled differently. For example, Mac Anu's town is a dense river city while Dun Loreag is a rural urban village set on a misty mountain top. Towns are the easiest place in the game to find players for parties or to ask for help. Items Items are objects in the game which players collect for their special abilities or for trade. Examples of items include weapons, armor, and potions. Weapons and armor help players defend themselves against monsters. Potions can be used during the game to provide a one time effect, like healing a player. Grunties Cute piglike creatures, players can raise and ride them in the game for quick transportation across fields. Grunties eat grunty food, which can be collected in fields and dungeons. There are many different kinds of food a player can feed his/her grunty. Portals Glowing multi-ringed objects which, when approached, reveal either monsters or chests containing items. A portal is the primary way players find challenges to gain experience. Portals can be found in fields and dungeons. Monsters The .hack world is filled with a wide variety of fantastic creatures for the players to meet and do battle. They come in many shapes and sizes from man sized warriors to enormous dragons. Difficult monsters have more hit points and frequently sport special abilities to make their defeat more challenging for experienced players. Fields When players leave a town to seek adventure, they go looking for it in the fields of .hack. A field is an area defined by three keywords and used at a chaos gate like a telephone number, determining what kind of place it will be. A wide variety of fields exist including open plains, forest, jungles, snow filled tundra, and volcanic wastelands. Every field contains a dungeon, and it is by exploring fields and dungeons that players advance in the game. Dungeons A set of underground rooms or caverns underneath a field. Dungeons contain more difficult monsters than fields and many portals for the players to encounter. At the deepest part of every dungeon is a Gott Statue that players much reach to complete the area. Typically a chest containing special items rewards the player for reaching the end. Chests Golden boxes that contain a variety of items the players can collect and trade. A single chest with a special item inside sits at the end of a dungeon to reward players
