NBA Rant Of The Week- Will the surprise teams amke an impact in the play-off hunt this season?
So far this season we've ahd many surprise teams. Most notably in the East, Boston, New Jersey and Detroit have all made an impact turning that conference upside down. Other powers from last year such as the Heat and Sixers have fallen to the NBA basement for the time being. But the question is can these surprise teams hold their heat and make the play-offs, or will they at least make the play-off run the most interesting one in years? It's hard to say, with conference contenders such as the Sixers and Hornets hit hard by injuries there's always a chance one of the surprises could sqeak through, but more lilely when the other East teams get healthy the newbies may find themselevs watching the play-offs on the couch. The Celtics and Nets look like they have enough push to make a serious run at the post-season, but the Pistons and Clippers don't look like they have enough experience or consistency to find themselves in the post-season. No matter who does well, only one thing's for sure, this will be a very interesting year.
