Mr. Executioner: You're Not the Victor:

A Collection Of Haiku Poetry

The following haiku poems all deal with life and losing life on death row. There will be more poems added as time goes on. I hope they make you think a little bit about the savagery of capital punishment:

The endless green mile.
It's a marathon of sorts.
Drains life; depletes strength.

Stand at the mirror,
Then toss a chair to break it.
It's you who shatters.

Face betrayed your fear.
A tear gathered in your eye.
Sad to say good-bye.

Eyes rolled up swiftly.
They wanted you to suffer.
Death wasn't enough.

Television fed,
They came to watch a freak show.
You robbed them of that.

This hospital room,
With its many tubes and wires.
Offers death, not life.

Essential details.
Catheters and anal plugs.
Death must be sterile.
